Another giant stripping shovel, the Silver Spade mined in Southeastern Ohio. It was one of two 1950b's owned and operated by Consol in the area, the other being the "Gem of Egypt". The machines were built in 1965 and 1967, respectively. The Spade had a 105 cubic yard bucket and the Gem's was 130. The Spade was destined to become an outdoor museum upon retirement, but had to be scrapped due to a structural failure on the swing circle shortly before it's decomissioning. The shovel was scrapped in 2005-2006. One of the pics includes a small moc of my two story house at the same scale for comparison. RIP The Silver Spade!

Great job recreating an epic, and unusual vehicle. More pics / description of how your MOC works would be nice, but assuming it does, 5 stars : )
Yeah, sorry so brief. I'm about 7 mocs behind on uploading, so I was keeping them kind of short. I only have one Moc that operates. The rest, like this one, are "glorified paper weights". Thank you for the compliments!
