quite impressive, i love the background, how do you do that? if you have time, can you take a look at my 10 wide ford gt? it was the hardest car i ever made and i am not sure of it, i think it had similar challenges to this Porsche, for example the doors being part of the roof, and the back opening that way http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/338024, also i need you to put the first race car down in team Hudson http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/338386 Thanks!!! |

I'm always very impressed on how you make all these nice curves! The shaping work is fantastic and accurate! Amazing work! |

How wide is it, 16 studs? I just want to know to see how big my cargo area should be since its the same vehicle as De Tomaso's. |

Some how I've managed to 95% complete the Porsche without copying you ;-) just the framework at the back to go. I've given up on trying to make it as functional as yours (not my strong point) must try harder lol I will hopefully post it this weekend so you can tell me off. It looks soooo good next to the Mercedes :-). There is however a problem, it won't fit in the truck, the loading area isn't quite tall enough grrr |

I'm just looking at this and wondering how in the *beep* you did this. That cheese tecnique is mind boggling lol I've got another problem too, I want to make mine 18 wide and the wheel arches are too small for the wheels I want to use. This may take some time... |

Ravishingly beautiful! *SLAP* But really, I'm absolutely amazed at how you've captured the simple beauty of this car so accurately. How you ever came up with the idea to lay the bricks sideways across the tubing is beyond me, but it's definitely good for including the stripes in the color scheme. And that brings us to one of the many small, clever details that I like so much... You used BULLHORNS to finish the stripes!!! Genius! You sir, are the king of LEGO Porsches. |

Wow, you never cease to amaze me! AS far as I am concerned-you are the king of building Porsches! What you have is a very accurate replication of one of the most beautiful and iconic cars in the world, the mighty 917. You didn't skimp on the details anywhere, in this beautiful model! The first thing that struck me, was the amazing body shape-the 917, has this very unique flowing, wedge-look to it, and you nailed it perfectly! The way you take the curved-arch pieces and build on top of them creating the beautiful flow of the real sports car. In addition to the bodywork being so accurate, you still managed to have everything openable! First off- you have front hood, which was beautifully designed and executed, and then to have it function is just amazing! Probably my favorite and one of the most important parts that you built, was the engine cover. The way you got that last little angle at the back was spot-on- just the same as the real car. Now, under the well-designed body of these beautiful machine, you have photographically recreated the flat 12 cylinder engine/engine bay- it is just so accurate. You built a very nice cockpit, with a very realistic bucket style seat. One of my favorite parts, was the butterfly doors. First off, the doors frame was so detailed- nice use of the minifig arms! The way you hinged them just amazes me. A very beautiful Porsche, again! I cannot wait to see more beautiful German Supercars, from you! Great work! Keep building! -Anthony Dunne |

Wow Malte, that's awesome! The new shaping technique is ingenious! First I thought that you used small tape for the stripes, but that wouldn't be your style. And they are not, they are plates! Great idea, even better than the plates connected to the tubes. And some great parts usage, too: The rim as the big 917 fan is great and the use of the horns (red and white ones), too. Once more you're establishing a higher level of LEGO car shaping! Bildschön ;-)) |

Porshe 917? Malte Dorowsky?, OMG!, again stunned by your perfect style in reproduction of Porsche designs.Lovely technique to make the curves and stripes, your minifig hands style to have little connector, your little bars, engine details, incredible!!. In this one I really stunned on how you find the way to make another racer full of curves, details and sub-models! My favourite is this picture, here we can see the windstopper shape you find, Is a-w-e-s-o-m-e http://images.mocpages.com/user_images/36105/1321171544m_DISPLAY.jpg 500000/5 !! ;D |
