About this creation
LCFD7 took delivery of a 2011 Rescue Squad late Saturday Afternoon on 11/12/11, This squad is the first of possibly many more for LCFD7. Squad 71 is on a 2011 Ford F450 Chassis and is Equipped with a cascade air refill unit, ALS Equipment, and a set of spreaders/cutters. Squad 71 features a Working LED light bar with 8 working LEDs 360 around the apparatus. Credit to Christian Collins for the Ford Chassis, as well as EXTRA CREDIT to Brian Stanis for the awesome work on my Department decal as well as chevrons and numbers. Very impressive unit! Here is my question however: Is this rig actually equipped with tools? If so, where is the wiring for the LEDs run through? Keep up the great work. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. -Bruce

I honestly don't know how to describe it. Amazing detail, very opening to the eye in the beck, love the LEDs. Where did you get the LEDs? Lifelites or some other LEDs?

Your welcome. That is good to hear. In my opinion I would go with the Sutphen. The department I ran with for 10 years before moving has a 75ft Mid-Mount Aerial Ladder from Sutphen. I would sure like to see what it looks like in LDD.

Quoting Matthew Miller Hey man great job on this unit. The work you do is fantastic. Do you have any plans to build a straight stick ( true truck with no pump lol ), or a tower ladder ( rear or midmount ) anytime soon? Seeing one of those units with the LED lights would be cool. I am amazed at your work. You sure did bring alot to the table with your engine and you just keep making better and better apparatus everytime.
Thank you. I will have a second engine up soon in less then a week with everything. I have a seagrave tiller and sutphen mid mount ladder both on LDD. Don't know what one I want to get yet. Wont be for awhile though.

Quoting Christian Collins I don't think I've ever seen a better use of my Ford design. This is an amazing squad, love the decals, the working lights, everything is just perfect! I can not wait for that enigne!
Thanks christian, I modified it a little bit but for the most part I think I got the grill spot on. I plan making the same chassis for a medic unit I will probubally get with my ladder in a few months or something. Wether I make it a lcfd7 medic unit or medlink medic unit idk yet.

Yes the doors are able to open and store tools. I haven't placed everything in it yet. I used a 3v coin cell battery for the 8 LEDs. The battery is stored in between the wheels in its own compartment below the middle compartments. Wires take up most of the front compartment. It was built to fit 2 mini figs but the lights make it unable for them to sit in the cab. No wires show from the outside. Switch for the lights is just inside the front right compartment door. Compared to my E1 the lighting is 10 times better and are way better hidden and doesnt take up nearly as much space.
