Cute but deadly..
About this creation
Ok. If you like to take a sneak peak at Brickshelf to see what might be coming up on Mocpages (like me!) you may have seen this and wondered what the hell it is! The first in a series (hopefully) of Mechs used by the Australain army in the future to defend our country. Australia is like no other country and as such poses many unique challeges to the Defence forces. Fortunately, they have taken inspiration from the many unique Australian animals, all of which have adapted and thrive in a somewhat difficult environment.

So, to help defend the vast stretches of our radioactive super-forests enter: Koala Sniper. These solitary mechs climb the enormous trees and patrol the forests, ready to kill any enemy sighted and alert command.

If you go into the woods today,

You're sure of a big surprise.

If you go into the woods today,

   You'd better go in disguise...

   un-clipping the sniper rifle

   Aiming

Ear radar dishes hone in on target.

   Climbing up.

   Hanging around mode...

Can even climb the largest trees.

Hmmm, this could take a while.

   Oppps...

A quick repair job and we're back in action(!)

How cool is the gleam on the gun barrel?

   Driver access.

   Minus gun and power pack.

   Rocky mode: "Adrian!!!"

   Hmmm...

Can leap from tree to tree (er, real Koalas can't do that!)

With head removed to see the interior a bit. Compared to some Mechs, the cabin could be describes as "cavernous" or "pallatial"?

   Can walk like a Koala.

Ahhh, smoko time! Bring me a gumleaf or beer!

NICE! Maybe a few more studs could be covered up, and maybe a little more detail, but otherwise a VERY good MOC, and very funny too!

That is sooooo messed up. I love the fact that you've turned the usual Gundam/Mechassault/etc dominated field into a cute and deadly robot Marsupial with a massive sniper rifle. Its priceless, mate!

I'm not only giving you a 5 of 5 because I fear you may have one of these already staking me out, but because it is insanely (and I don't necessarily use that word loosely here) creative !!! Kudos !

Okay, on Sunday I posted a rabbit mech and within 48 hours another Shannon on the other side of the world has a koala mech? In Australia, where rabbits are a despised pest? This goes beyond coincidence -- this speaks of vast planetary alignments, of the karmic wheel clicking over another notch on the cosmic odometer or something. I'm a little freaked out...

This is very cute. As DARK spawn said, it is a little blocky, but the cuteness makes up for it. I like the picture titled "Oops...". This is quite an original idea. I have a few original ideas in my miscellaneous folder.

Very cute! I have always said Koalas are very viscous creatures - now I have proof. A little blocky but the cute factor more than makes up for it
