This is my 1st entry for the 3rd Community Build over on the Eurobricks Forums. I wanted to revisit this classic scene, but didn't want to just do a v2 of my minifig scale Rancor, so, I decided to go smaller! As far as I know, this is the FIRST micro-scale Lego rancor on the internet! Anyway, I'm really excited about this build and want to know what you think! As always, please RATE and COMMENT:)

I love this so much there is actually a tiny bit of drool coming out the side of my mouth...
HA! Just like the Rancor! I actually tried to make Lego drool coming out of his mouth (didn't work, though). |

It's been what? 12 -13 years Lego makes SW sets and not one features this Rancor scene? Your version has great possibilities for an official set: lots of equal bricks, sturdy and good posability, and not to big. Maybe you should add the door in that rock wall. What the heck are they waiting for?
I agree. The closest thing I've seen to an official Lego Rancor is in one of the SW Lego video games and even that looks a bit like the size of their Wampa. Also, I thought about adding the archway. Maybe if I do a v2. |

The Rancor is truly awesome! But I'd prefer a minfig Luke in his hand/paw.
A minifig would be too big for this scale. |

Nice Rancor! Gotta ask you Mood, thoughts on the 3D Star Wars releases conning up? And also, thoughts on Sw:TOR?
Thanks! I see no problem with making the movies in 3D, although it just feels like another way for Lucas to keep milking it. I like the ideas brought forth and the look of the characters in SWTOR, although the soldiers do look an awful lot like clones. Kinda odd. |

oh woooow... that Rancor's awesome. great detail on it! and once again, the little grey T-pieces come to the rescue for joints. hmm, do you think I could use the basic design of your Rancor for something I'm working on? I was just going to edit in pictures of real rancors, but if I could make them out of LEGO that would be great. oh, and great work on everything else too. :P
Of course you're more than welcome to use any and all of my designs, just don't forget to give me proper credit:)

EPIC!!! I noticed that you used MOODLAND style elbows for tthe rancor!
Actually, this Rancor would be Moodland-scale, if a Rancor was the size of a normal human, which I thought was kinda funny for a micro build:) |

I LOVE the rancor! Its the most accurate mini rancor i have seen i am waiting to see a Moodland scale rancor and a Bull rancor the biggest kind http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bull_rancor As seen in the force unleashed video game the bull roncor is my favorite creature from the star wars galaxy!
I don't know about a MOODLAND Rancor, but I have thought about building a minifig-scale Bull Rancor at some point, so that could happen. |
