CB-002 Raphael Gundam
It's been a while since I've built in real bricks, mostly due to shortage of a few parts I need to creat gundams the best I can. But one day I noticed I had some purple and wasn't doing anything with it, so I began to build the body. As usual the joints are pretty good and flexible, but on this model I included ball joints on the hips, this makes the model far more pose-able. You should also notice I neglected to include the Seravee II armor on it, this is mainly due to the lack of parts and also the fact that there is no way this frame could support all that extra weight. Additionally, the head didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, but with my available parts, this is about as well as I expected to do. As usual all the hip armor is movable and even the neck and shoulders move on this one. So all in all, this is probably my best real brick gundam yet.

Okay, in real bricks, this thing is even more beautiful than I imagined. Every detail was pretty much spot on, I REALLY hope to see more from you then!

Very accurate recreation, but are you going to take a shot at the Seravee II and complete the set?

Hey Man, Very Nice Work On This. Despite the part limitations, this MOC is indeed quite recognizable. For the most part you nailed it, the only issue design wise is the fact the feet don't fold up, but that may have led to stability issues. Another issue I have with the MOC is the photos. While I can see what you were aiming for with making the backgrounds white by editing out the backgrounds, it looks rather awkward when this is done on a Physical MOC, with a Digital MOC it looks cleaner. Other than that, I see no major issue with the design, well aside from the missing Seravee II but let's be realistic, there is a reason why the made Raphael Dominions. Nice work overall.

Well, being a Digital Builder, I feel that I have limited knowledge when it come to Photo Related Task when dealing with Physical bricks. The only advice I feel comfortable with giving you is to find a way to make a scene/backdrop that is one solid color, that way you don't have to edit it out. If you need advice on Physical Brick Photos, I suggest asking CCY, as a fellow member, I'm sure he would be willing to help if you ask.

Thanks for the detailed review. What do you propose I do when editing photos, because I don't quite have a photographers touch where the picture I take looks fine as is.

Quoting Thomas Z. Now this one sure looks nice, despite having a part shortage! The head and the chest area is the best in my opinion. You should make a stand and show off some more poses! Great job! What'll be next for you?
I've decided to build the EZ 8, nearly finished should be up today if not sometime during this week.

Quoting Winter Nis Real models are always better, right? This is pretty awesome, you've caught a lot of details, the body is especially impressive (and even with your low number of parts!). Great work, and keep it up, of course!
Yeah, real models although they don't take the grueling time and don't (usually) posses the same amount of detail as my LDD models, I feel more accomplished. Although LDD is a pain to use, Real bricks are just as annoying sometimes, not to mention the challenges with no having whatever piece you want in whatever color haha. Both are quite different ways of building for sure, but real models...Nothing can compare.

Well I've still got the Quebeley to finish and maybe the cherudim if I ever come back to it, but as for regular brick models, I'm not sure yet. And I will try my hand at making a stand, no promises though, I tried once before to make one, and it couldn't support my gundam, well it was the heaviest gundam I ever built, kinda sad I took it apart before posting though, so the stand shouldn't have to be as big as last time.
