A swooshy space jalopy?! No...it's just a StarCraft Expanded Universe Moc...

The CL-698 "Thor" was first conceived by an aspiring Protoss engineer working for the Terrans approximately 2.7 years after the end of aggressions between the two factions. The design was graceful and elegant. It was named Kohazra Khala'za, or Hammer of the Divine Powers, and was the most advanced craft to be developed under the Terran system. Of course, the Terrans disliked the design and it was mutilated into a brutish vehicle that could be mass-produced on retired Vulture lines. The Protoss name was changed, due to the ineptitude of the translator, to "Thor," for lack of a better transliteration. The resulting craft was a scrappy flyer, and though a shadow of its former incarnation, of relatively high performance. It was quickly adapted by militias and Space-Punks alike for its maneuverability, stability, durability, and field readiness. However, many pilots preferred the Vulture due to the new ships reduced pilot visibility, larger profile, and slightly slower speed. In combat, the massive heat discharge from the expansion engine made it easy for IR missiles to follow, so for the most part, its higher operating altitude was negated because it was forced to follow the terrain to mask its signature. This aside, it proved deadly against infantry units, and in many a garage one could find some part of the ship up on blocks for upgrades and repairs.

PS: Do not take the Protoss name Kohazra Khala'za as canocial in any way; I am a poor linguist, especially since there is little or no material on mainstream Protoss syntax and morphology.

PPS: Sorry for the long back-story.

PPPS: Sorry for the excessive creative liberties in my back-story, which is unnecessarily verbose.

PPPPS: Sorry for the excessive number of "PSs"

   From the top now.

Not even ducking can save you now.

A good view of the plasma expansion engine. The moc was built around a table scrap of mine, which consisted of a bunch of hinge pieces in an alternating pattern with 1*1 hinge plates attached. This eventually became the white part of the vehicle.

The orange stripe was once one part of a whole orange trimming scheme. However, I used most of my orange on the Byzantine class shuttle, and my legos are in the process of being sorted, so alas, it never was. Perhaps it was a good thing now that I think about it.

   The uninteresting bottom.

Sorry, which switch is the starter motor.

I felt pressure to construct a small hanger. If I had more parts I could have made it more interesting. Maybe when I finally get my legos sorted I'll re-release just the hanger.

The pilot seems to be re-fueling his craft...or maybe he's taking a blowtorch to it; I don't know.

I photoshopped two ships into a StarCraft screenshot just to see how it would look. I think it turned out pretty well. I wonder what attack rating it has...
