The Gertrüde-B is the Unions latest super weapon. It is a super heavy self propelled artillery, and is currently the largest and heaviest land vehicle in the Union, if not in the entire world. The device can fire various ammunition types, with the largest one being 400MM. The vehicle is mostly accompanied by a dozen AA vehicles, tanks and munition trucks to supply this monster with enough shells. The range of the weapon is estimated to be around 20-40 KM. Note that this is a conversion model of my original Gertrüde device. The difference is that this one does not use a rail/gauss/coilgun. About this creation
Development history
The Union started the development of the device around October 2025. The ministry of armament stated that they wanted to have a super heavy artillery based on the Ogre chassis and being able to fire shells as large as 400MM. To accomodate such a weapon a erected hull of the Ogre was build and modified to accomodate the demands.

It was propossed to have a railgun, and several entered prototype and active deployment. However demand also came for a normal gun, so the B variant was made. Apart from the gun, both are the excact same vehicle.

The back of the vehicle, showing the two cranes, and the loading mechanism.

Another shot of the back, not the engine hatch. More on that later.

The new 20MM automatic sentry gun is currently in mass production to replace all other sentry guns used on tanks, IFV's or these kind of vehicles. The prototype had a human gunner sticking out of the hatch. With this new sentry turret such thing isn't needed anymore, even tough it needs to be controlled safely from the inside of the vehicle.

Side view, note that this version still uses old style small wheels. While most new styled vehicles in the Union use larger overlapping wheels.

When deploying these two stabilizers are folded out, to absorb some of the impact caused by the blast when firing.

Also to get on the vehicle we have this small ladder, this can be folded up when driving, so now one can sneak onto it easily.

After all this the gun is aimed.

the cranes lift the heavy shells and place it in the loading tray. It can fire faster since we use two cranes, instead of one to place shells. The cranes are located on the right and left side of the vehicle.

Here we have the entrance to the inner vehicle.

When removing the roof we have this spacious compartment where the crew controls everything on this moster. Note the coffee dispenser

Another shot, in the corner you can also see a fire extinguisher.

Also the gun itself can be removed so we all can see the massive engine that propels this monster

The engine hatch openend so the engine can be taken out easily.

The engine, very similar to all engines used in the Unions armoured vehicles.

The gun itself.

Fully deployed (one of my favorite pics)

Ready to fire!

Quoting Matthew McCall Looks great. Nice shape, color scheme, and details. However, I do have to agree about it not being a practical weapons system.
Thanks, but you do know that the Union is well known for not caring about something being practical on the battlefield :P
