My goal here was to make a Ghost that looks good, is scaled properly, and is purple. Using purple severely limited the piece selection and normally I feel color is less important than scale and accuracy. However, the purple Covenant color scheme is so distinctive and unusual that I thought it was necessary to accurately replicate the Ghost.
Some things are a bit off, like the downward curvature at the rear of the “hood,” but I think it captures the overall rounded feel of the Ghost pretty well considering the limitations imposed by using purple.
Also, even though this isn’t really a copy, I feel I need to give credit to Lego2000 for being the first (that I know of) to use 2x2 curved slopes and binoculars on a Ghost.
Comparison pic. Sorry about the quality of the picture…it’s just a shot of the TV screen.
Pretty lame, I know, and it made the Ghost (and everything else) look more bluish than they really are. The true color of a Ghost is actually fairly close to Lego’s purple.
This Ghost uses 10 of the purple 2x2 curved slopes. Not the most easily reproduced design, I admit, but anything is possible with Bricklink! BTW, the last time I checked, there were only 60 of these pieces available…ON ALL OF BRICKLINK!
Master Chief fits as well, but can’t accurately straddle the seat like the Elite for obvious reasons. I think the Ghost could be modified fairly easily, to make him sit lower, if you wanted to use mini-figs exclusively.
This is perfect... besides the sharp unoticable angle at the top but ur model looks better than the one in halo... YOU HAVE TO SEND ME INSTRUCTIONS> I need to build it and add it to my collection [pleeaaasssseeeee i beg of you]
I recently got a "Mega Blocks Halo Wars (the RTS, not the classic shooter) Ghost". I imagine it must be embarasing for them that yours is more acurate, especialy since they can mold thier own pieces when they need to. But if I HAD to compare yours to Scorp's, then shape-wise, his is better. But he used Dark Blue on his most recent version, wich puts him at a unfair advantage (since there are more dark blue pieces than purple ones). Overall, yours is a more acurate halo ghost... But his looks cooler as a vehicle since it's much more streamlined and colored in that cool dark blue color. But, as I said before, your's beats him for the purpose you made it for: to be a LEGO representation of a Halo ghost.
The design in my opinion is very simple (thats not a bad thing). Which makes this very well built, because the design can be replicated. I can make this...But only if I had some purple like that!0_0 Oh man I wish you were selling this! Or at least the pieces. =P
Well Brian, I must say you are above lego building entirely. You have defied the definitions of building and created something imaculant. After about a week of carefully studying your model, I finally figured how you put this piece together. I must say, it is beutiful. Not as fragile as I initially thought, and even more impressive in person. It seems a little frail, especially with the slope that comes over your head, but for it's amazing resemblence to the actual thing, all minor issues are excused. But even then it's sturdy and strong, enough for my purpose. With just a little modification I'll be able to make it compatible with my figures, and order the pieces for the final model. Thank you Brian, for this piece of art.
I bow to you on this one. It has all of the form and function that anyone could ever need! If Halo hadn't made that stupid deal with Megablocks *shudder* I could definitely see this as an actual set! Great work!
well you could probably find a little smaller elite and get master cheif to be able to fit and its like saber scorpions's and that does'nt seem to surprise me becuase he knows every thing about lego but good job and i honestly think it would be better blue ya'know
OK! This is the greatest ghost on mocpages as well as your banshee being the greatest, right next to the guy with the sniper is what you deserve but n.oobs outnumber you here and junk gets over overated. I am sorry, but HEY! go work for lego kid.
Must have been hard to get all the pieces that are purple and to get it to look like that. If I knew how and had the pieces, I would make my ghost like that but I just don't have the pieces but I did make my own ghost that looks nothing like it but is.
This is my favorite lego halo creation ever!!!!! Be4 I had my account, I searched all over the web for this... Please can u send me instructions for the banshee, jackal, grunt, hunter,
and the ghost? Thx.
best looking ghost i've seen on the web, keep up the good work, and perhaps at least show us the pieces you used so that we might be able to make some ourselves. oh, and where did you happen to find that many purple pieces
Perfectly amazing, could you take of the front and show a pic of that please? Or taking of the driver and taking a picture from the back (I'd really like to know how the hood fits on). It's just... COOL. =)
(like the banshee) WOW......WOW.....WOW your ghost rules and there are five reasons:
3.it's purple: )
4.it's captured the good shape
and 5. it's smooth.
though i do have just 2 little things i don't like:
1.you just need to add decals
and 2. the fact that it's yours not mine: (
BUT... GREAT JOB!
Wow...just perfect. One of the best Halo creations ever.only complaint is that it looks to small at the seat but thats sure a good reason why...Id never thought I would say this but,can I have instructions?I guess I cant but anyway, hope you can go and see my creations soon and...review them?hope so
I like it

Dude you rock nice ghost by the way you should see my ghost!
great ghost, you seriously need to make instructions, and i know you get that alot, but you really need to do it. even now im working on making instructions for my mongoose V.3 and posting pictures of the mongoose itself. dont dissapiont your fans!!
One of the three best Ghost on the internet that I've seen. Wow. I'd have to say otherwise about the Elite, but that's amazing. One of my only complaints are that it can't seat a normal lego minifigure, and that the back seems way narrow. Other than that...
this amazes me. i can tell you have a HUGE arsenal of pieces, a number i can only wish i had. it is also evident that you are a great engineer in the lego medium. the guns look a little fragile to me though and i still think the front fuselage should be a tad longer or less circular. but nice job
This is my favorite youve done so far. The elite fits in it so perfectly! When I saw it on MOCpages it stuck out because its so well done. The purple slopes were a good idea and the size is perfect. Really no compaints, its perfect!
Pretty lame? are you blind, man? this is better than Lego 2000's! it is, perfect! Justin, you jealous friend of mine! the gunz are perfect!
You are pwning all halo moc builders...almost...except arty, samson's scarab...
Speaking of which...
MAKE A SCARAB MAKE A SCARAB!
zOMG your givin saber schorp a run for his money!!!1
Heh. Sorry, I had to. Nice work here. All of your stuff has some great SNOT and creative techniques in order to make it perfect. And since I have a huge fetish for those 2x2 slopes all put together like so I love this thing.
I have a feeling that this ghost will never be out done...maybe. however the tricky scale issue you have with the master chief and the elite makes me think, why not make a master chief that doesnt comprise of a minifig body at but as you build alien creatures using parts...i hope your next project is as exciting as this one, good luck outdoing yourself Brian!
That's cool man, most definitely the best Ghost I've seen so far. You should consider making a Master Chief that isn't a green mini fig, he just doesn't do it compared to your elite. Make one up out of different pieces.
Exelent design, every Halo design that you have is amazing and makes me envious of your awesome talent. I can't wait for more. And I was hoping you if you would, give me an e-mail so I could ask questions about your Warthog design, I have it all figured out except underneath the gun. Thanks and keep it up.
Probably your best Halo creation so far, I think. The only thing I don't like about it are the guns - they should be more claw-shaped. Other than that, well, it's perfect. What can I say? Other than I suppose I should take it as a compliment that everyone feels the need to pick on me in their comments. :-P
I hope this makes Justin Stebbins cry. :) ( I kid you, Justin!!)
One question: how'd you make those two slopes on the front stick together? They look like they've been fused toghether. This is gonna bother me all day now...
Brian, as you well know, I'm not the biggest fan of HALO mocs due to the sheer weight of tawdry incarnations here on MOCpages but credit where credit is due - this is nothing short of exemplary. the likness is uncanny butI hesitate to ask where the lurid purple components came from!
The painstaking attention to detail is excellent (something that I have come to expect from you on a regular basis!) and this truly is worthy of 5 smileys.
Outstanding work buddy! ;)
