Intergalactic Space Hotel
"'Allo! I'm the Doctor! And welcome to one of the best resorts just two galaxies away from the earth. Did I mention earth is cool? So are bowties. Bowties are cool. Um! I'm getting off-topic, so rather than talk about earth and ties, why not show you around a bit! Alonzee!"
About this creation
(Ryan's Note) Full view of the interior.

(Ryan's Note) Full view of the exterior.

"Some species of animal life native to Earth have been crossbred with cybernetics and have developed a smarter and better-functioning brain. Right here, we have ourselves one of these species conversing with another. Some hairstyles were ripped from earth's fashion magazines and transmogrified into actual objects. Implementing the hairstyle can occasionally be difficult, and has resulted in a few, accidents, and sometimes color change.

"Converse with the bartender/lobbyist once in a while, he actually comes from earth and loves to hear stories of your alien species."
(Ryan's Note) Sorry for blurry picture. Some of them didn't turn out very well, you may see below.

"I forgot to mention fezes are cool, too. Oh, sorry, you still desire to look around, right?"

"Ah, there's my TARDIS. I don't know why, but it sounds like someone is shouting from the other side of it. Maybe I accidentally parked in front of the door, but that would be preposterous!"

"Oh, my! We seemed to have spotted a wild Mark Kelso, seeking out its natural migration habitat whilst traveling across barren space and time, often stalking people with a device he calls a 'Camera' to 'Take pictures for the wife at home'. We have to be quiet, for they scare easily!"

"I don't watch many movies, but those two seem quite familiar..."

(Ryan's Note) Second Floor

"Here, since a bridge across the spiral staircase cannot be currently constructed due to people's height, the manufacturers were forced to steal teleport designs from someone not of earth but in an earth-like world called the "Engineer". The teleports work faster if enough metal is used to create a Level 3 version."

"Wot? Who're you calling a camera-head? Oh, you mean him. Well, let's just say his day at filming "The B(rick) Team" didn't go so well..."

"The rooms are designed to create portals once the doors open to their own hotel style room, that means customizing it to be your dream! I believe humans are trying to do the same, but the last I heard from one of them was that scientists are attempting to create a laser that will open to another dimension. Sounds primitive, I know..."

"Hmm, this female game hunter seems similar to that guy we saw earlier right next to my TARDIS. Do you think they're related?"

"Oh hey, you know those terrible STAR WARS Clone Wars TV series currently shown on earth? That's Plo Koon's brother, "Plo Boom" (The Bazooka he's carrying results in his name). I believe he's talking with the Little Green Men. I hear the only way you can tell those two apart is that #2 had a hand accident during a flight (The hook)."

"There's their ship, the not-so-environmental-friendly ship. Remember, just because it's green doesn't mean Al Gore would be proud."

"Oh, it appears that this portal isn't entirely finished yet, we'd better keep moving."

(Ryan's Note) The next few pics are of the interior and exterior without any of the characters.

"The parking lot is located on the roof because other species dislike it when someone parks in the middle of space. The insulation under the pavement helps muffle the sound of a landing ship."

(Ryan's Note) Alright, I cheated here and had to use a Brickarms U-clip to support the ostrich head. One thing I should mention is that the robot ostrich here is not my original concept. I was inspired by something similar I saw on Flickr before. Link me to the original if you can.

Fourth Roof Commentary
Well now, that was exciting, wasn't it? This creation first started out as a bar scene, where two aliens had a "their eyes met" moment. Then, I added the 11th Doctor from Doctor Who. I decided to add a second floor after that, then, a roof parking lot, a sign, and finally, an exterior. As you can see from my text above, I went through quite the process here.

Oh yes, some images are a bit blurred. Sorry about that, I'm also sorry about some pictures where the light box shows up. Considering this MOC's height, it has a bit difficult (especially the sign, it was bending the top of the light box).

Now, it's time to continue with the Christmas MOC. Maybe if I'm feeling motivated enough, I'll construct a Level 2 Sentry Gun in LEGO (See my Level 1 for details).

Nice work with the space hotel! You've done a nice job giving it that weird out-of-this-world feeling! Nice alien designs too!

Quoting Michael Kringe Nice! I haven't seen the Doctor for a while. Is the new one as good as David Tennant?
Pretty good, he needs to show a bit more character, but the role is quite fitting.

Nicely done, the SNOT roof and the ship are my favorites.
