It's A Trap!
About this creation

Here's my entry for The "Out of Your Comfort Zone" Contest. I am competing in FANG group and have the category of Adventure. After a bit of thought I decided that nothing represented adventure better than raiding temples.

Here's an overhead view

Three treasure seekers take a valuable golden idol from a temple. As they turn to leave traps suddenly erupt around them, and they are running for their lives as the floor collapses and mummies emerge from a hidden door.

Stones fall into the spike filled pit. This MOC was inspired by Indiana Jones, and a drawing on page 69 of The Dungeon Master's Guide Version 3.5.

The pedestal where the idol rested, I really like how the purple window works with the tan.

The third adventurer isn't having a good day, looks like he ran right into a fire trap.

The mummies. I especially like the green one, the sorcerer's legs and a dragon knight's body really work well together.

The surviving raiders. The black haired guy looks confident enough, but I think the old man's just crazy.
Thanks for viewing!

Quoting Cody G The build is excellent, I really admire the floating skeleton and the spear pit! The old adventurer has a very feminine bone structure, though. Maybe you should have looked for a different torso. ;)
Heh, yeah, he might be a tad thin... I couldn't resist using such an excellent tan torso though.

Quoting Deus Otiosus Is the old guy by any chance a lumberjack?
Maybe that's his day job... But I think he's too feeble for that.

This is creation where I canīt give small amounts of points. Photo:5/5, Theme:5/5, Overall build: 7/10. So I will say something only towards overall build: This build is really amazing but I would welcome more details like statues, spike traps on walls, maybe some spider webs... just to make it look old. You achieved 17/20 which is really good.

I think this is Eactly what the judges were looking for in this catagory. Photography: 5/5. Not too many pictures, no fuzzy ones, and not a weird background! Theme Representation: 5/5. Can't go wrong with Indy-Style Idol-Theiving. Overall build: 9/10. The ONE thing I thought was wrong with this was that fire-trap, I at first didn't get what it was supposed to be and it didn't seem like how I would imagine a fire-trap to work. But the splashes of off-color bricks, bricks falling into the trap, and your choices of minifigs really bumped you up in the points. Overall score: 19 points out of 20. Amazing Job!

Quoting Connor Simpson My first thoughts were, "Wow, that looks pretty Indiana Jones-ish." When you mentioned the DMG, I went and looked at that too, and I can see the influence from there as well. The falling floor looks spectacular. Very nice work.
Thanks, good to know some people still have the DMG lying around!

Yay this is great. I absolutely love that fire trap and skeleton inside it. But there is something missing. Boulder. Large heavy boulder chasing them. :D Still nice one.

Ha! Yeah, I considered it, but ultimately thought that it would be too cluttered with a boulder.
