Aircraft Carrier USS Nimitz CVN-68 (mini scale)
This is my 4th carrier (this time in real bricks) of my carriers. Finally I decided to realize it as the Nimitz. This Nimitz should look as far as possible as the real Nimitz looks today.
About this creation
So here we are with my aircraft carrier #4. I developed it 100% in LDD and build it after my own instruction.
This ship features 4 "moveable" elevators which have access to the hangar deck this ship features too.

This ship basically depend on my carrier #3. Major changes from carrier #3 to this one are

* a complete new reworked island and radar tower. The reconstruciton of antenna tower on the island could get u going mad!

* I spend the most time to small stuff to reach more accurancy to the original. There are f.e.
- correct position of the island and radar tower
- correct position of the jet balst shields at the catapults
- positions of all 4 SAM-launchers
- and a lot of more small stuff which let the moc now look as it do now

And i can tell you, that nearly every (even the smallest!) change result in reconstructions of whole parts in that area.

* I reworked the hull espescially at the bow. Theres now a bow with just 1 stud in the width. This causes a lot of changes in the hull construction due to the new Sam-launcher position.

First of all, i present the airwing. I choose 3 different fighterplanes to stick on the carrier.

And heres the full airwing.

Quoting Scott Bertaut Great ship, looks awesome. The mini-plane are a nice touch. It looks so detailed for such a small scale. Now all you need is a few F-14s and A6M Zeros! - Don't know if you'll get that reference, its from a movie called the Final Countdown staring the Nimitz. Great job!
Yes I know this movie and I like the movie. F-14 and Zeros are impossible to build, if you want them looking reconisable as this planes. Have you seen my other ships? thanks for the comment.

Hey Man, Very Nicely Done. This MOC has a lot of details packed into it. I also liked the fact that you made an entire squad to populate the ship. I also really liked what you did with the elevators, while they may not move in the way you may had desired, they produce the desired effect without removing the amount of detail from the MOC. Nice work on this.
