BSG:The Next Chapter Season 2 Part 3
Galactica and Rebel Cylon Baseship orbiting the planet Caprica, former capitol of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. They are accompanied by the First Poseidon Battlestar Group which is tasked to intercept a possible invasion by their sworn enemies, the Athenians.
About this creation

Commander Nempec and the senior officers decided it was best to avoid any discussion of the history and purpose of their Cylon escort.
At the same time, Captain Dendauw of the Triton informed their long lost brothers that Caprica was strictly off limits. This was allegedly due to the radioactive fallout following the Cylon sneak attack so many millennia ago.

Comm: "Message coming in, Sir. It's the Cylons."

CMDR Nempec: "This is the Commander."

Cylon: "Commander Nempec, we wish to avoid any potential conflict, and have decide to jump to another part of the Colonial System. We do not want to interfere in any relationships you are attempting to establish, or research you need to perform."

Cylon: "We will transmit our coordinates, and will be available if necessary. That is all."

Comm: "Transmission ended, Sir."

Nempec: "Well, okay then..."

Colonel Watchko: "Aren't they a hoot?!?'
LT Shraga: "Sir, I think this is somewhat convenient. We came here to explore, and the Clyons might be too much of a distraction."

Nempec: "You're right. And another thing, we can't let our new pals over there on the Triton know we're going to poke around on Caprica, seeing as how it's off limits. I take that as a warning... Why, I have no idea. Maybe we'll find out soon enough. Tell Mav and his team to jump to the other side of the planet before they head to the surface. They shouldn't be able to track them."
Shraga: "Yes, Sir!"

Galactica Port Hangar Bay.
Raptor 269.
Mission Leader: CMDR Leonard Barto, call sign Maverick.
Pilot: LT Erica Witcomb call sign Boozer.
ECO: LT D. Boone, call sign Bones.
Chief Medical Officer: Dr. Marcus Korund.
Marine Escort: Pvt. T. Bonsch.

Maverick: "Galactica, Raptor 269, ready to launch..."
Comm: "Roger that Maverick .."

Mav: "And yes, I know, we'll be sure to jump once we've cleared the hangar bay. Got it!"
Mav(under his breath): "She's never going to let us forget that, is she, Bones?"

Bones: "What do you mean, Mav? Donít you remember? It was you who..."
Mav: "Never mind, keep your eyes on the DRADIS, would ya?!"

Mav: "Okay, we're clear. Jump on my mark. Three, two, one..."

Mav: "Jump!"

Bones: "Jump complete!"

Mav: "Coming in a little hot aren't we?"
Boozer: "I've got it, Sir! She'll hold together! I hope?"
Bones: "Another adventure on FTL Airlines!"

Mav: "Oh yeah, real funny, Dude! Until Bonsch pukes on you, again!"
Pvt Bonsch: "Sir, please, it was Shifu surprise for lunch today...Urp..."

Mav: "Okay, Boozer, I see a nice spot on that beach over there. Set her down, nice and easy."
Boozer: "Yes, Sir. Did you guys bring your bathing suits? (Snicker)"
Korund: "Nobody wants to see that!"

Caprica Surface.

Boozer: "Shutting her down."
Bones: "Atmosphere checks out okay, Sir. But it's a little nippy!"

Mav: "Weird, isnít it bones? The original crew...This was their home..."
Bones: "Hard to imagine...Billions of people, just gone..."

Korund: "Hmpf, smells a little fishy..."

Korund: "Well, Mav, it checks out as far as the radioactive isotopes. Can't really think of why theyíve quarantined the planet, though?"
Mav: "I'd say there must be other reasons, then. Something they want to hide from us, and even their own people?"

Mav: "So Bones, what do you think our new friends are up to?"
Bones: "Probably nothing good..."

Athenian Guardian Star
Location: Unknown

Approaching Athenian Station

Parrington Levopolis, held prisoner, is being escorted from his cell. He has been informed that his memories may contain information useful to his captors.

They have admitted being unsuccessful extracting what they want to learn, at least to this point...

Athenain: "We will soon be docking with the Station..."

Athenian: "The answers we seek may be through this door..."

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head Didn't realize how much bigger the Galactica is than the Triton! I love the scenes where the LEGO models are exploring a real environment-don't really know why. Also, I hope they radiation reading before they disembarked on Caprica! I guess they probably did...
That was cold and windy day, about this time of year. Had to lay down on the rocks to get those shots, hoping a wave wouldn't crash over my head! Thanks again!

Quoting Tom Simon Got it. Avoid the Shifu surprise before flying. Avoid Bonsch while flying. -- Now, dude, I don't think you are the kind of guy who takes audience requests, and I'm a little embarrassed to feel compelled to state what must be obvious to everyone here, but what I'd really like to see is: first, a 3 way between Dendauw, Ourania, and Strummer; second, Levopolis attaining his next level of awareness by being taken on by Athena for some divine education. -- Were you not just talking about atmospheric shots being harder? That's a pretty snazzy entry shot (save it) with the raptor. BTW: why does Caprica look like New England? ;^} Finally, lovely bit of door at the end there.
As far as the scene requests, I'm working on it! I've got a whole season to fill here, Chief, gotta stretch it out as much as possible! I guess I lucked out with an easy atmospheric shot... Yes, Caprica, Kobol, both look so much like Western Vermont, kind of like in the show where everything looks just like British Columbia. Okay, I gotta get back to work...Thanks, Boss!

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde The Doc is back! Hehe. Love this one, well, which one of the series is not to love?! Besides that really uber-awesome looking landing Raptor, with the atmosphere burning on its hull, the lakeside shots are really stunning. Man, getting wet from the waves was a totally rewarding sacrifice. The light, the focus, the waves, ... EPIC! How did you get the idea to make the blast door / airlock at the end from Duplo rails and bridge pieces? Very cleverly designed! ~Good hunting, Marc
Thanks, Doc! Yes, the waves, okay on me, not so okay on the camera. As far as the train stuff, I was digging around in our basement looking for something, and stumbled upon my son's old Thomas Duplo stash. Easy enough using those big pieces to cover a lot of territory. Glad you enjoyed the show!

hmm, I'm not sure. for jumping to hyperspace, I like to use the blur tool (or whatever it's called in the design program you use) to sorta stretch the ship out a bit. but I'm not really sure what "jumps" look like on Battlestar Galactica. oh, and the other thing was the engine thrust. try coloring the center white, and make the edge whatever color you want it to be.

You're quick, Dude! My dad and my aunt share a place on Lake Champlain, so a few weeks ago I went 'on location'. It was cold, but the WIND, yikes! I had all sorts of ruins built, a bunch more characters, and even another raptor. But no way was that going to happen. I took some of the ruins apart, and used the plates to support the figs. I had to lay down on the rocks to get the right angles, and the waves got me a few times. Fun stuff! Thanks again!
