MIT Round 5 E.K.O Vs Zac
This is my 5th entry to the MIT, in the category: Forced perspective. I had a lot of fun building this, even though it also was a big challenge! I had to make the buildings in the back in a smaller scale but at the same time make them visible. To solve that problem, I made them taller and I also made the city like if it was built on a hill.
About this creation
Link to Zac's entry to the MIT.

Forced perspective pictures:

View over to the other side of the river, showing you a boat and the citys skyline!

Bridge view. You can see the street up on the hill in the background. This picture is similar to San Francisco, isn't it?

Pics of the MOC:

The whole diorama.

Close up on the city. Notice that the buildings at the back is smaller than the ones near the water.

Google satelite picture view of the city. :P

The construction site, where they are building a new skyscraper! The mini bulldozer turned out great. I also added a few other mini vehicles to the diorama if you look carefully at the pictures.

Close up on the two and a half skyscrapers at the back.

The church in the city and a... Mcdonald's?

The buildings near the water and the boat. Notice also the man with the big nose. XD I also added a few other mini people to the diorama.

The beach on the minifigure scale part of the MOC.

I hope you liked this entry as much as I enjoyed building it! Do you think I'll get to the final or not?

Quoting Stacy Sterling Excellent work with your forced perspective - the vanishing point work with the bridge was what REALLY made the difference. The microscale builds were perfect scale for your photos and everything came together seamlessly. You have mastered forced perspective...you have my vote!
Thanks! I'm glad you say that I have "Mastered forced perspective". And I got 4 votes out of 6, which means I have made it to the final! :O I really can't believe it.

This grasped the topic perfectly. The bridge is something that Walt Disney himself would be proud of. You have my vote.

First off, congratulations to making it this far. Both builds are exemplary and achieved the category's requirement. IMO, the tipping point is the physical connection between the 'normal' perspective and the 'forced' perspective, which your bridge wonderfully grasped. The town 'is near and yet so far' (or is it the other way around? XD). My vote goes to you.

Quoting Michael Kringe Nice! Is this a typical Swedish town?
Not really. This is more like an American city.

You bring true meaning to the term 'forced' perspective! Angling that bridge REALLY makes the town seem even farther away. Best of Luck! :)
