This is my entry into the MIT round five it's me against Raphael Huesser (I hope I spelled that right)
Movie Poster: Create a LEGO version of a movie poster! It doesn’t have to be a blockbuster movie, any flick will do. Just try to stay as true as possible to the original. Please include a copy of or at the least, a link to, the original. You can build this as a mosaic, a 3-D model with figs (minifigs or other scales, we're not picky), or however you'd like. The title must also be represented in the build. Yep this round was quite tricky. I was really stumped at first, but I began thinking that christmas was getting closer and I want to get on my moms "good side" so I did her favorite movie, "SINGIN' IN THE RAIN". I myself love this movie too so therefor I began my building. And here's the result. I have no clue if the judges like 3D or Mosaicy better (I'm hoping more for 3D. XD), but I'm not waiting to find out. Enjoy.

Wow popcorn! They look very alike! Very creative, and fascinating! I love how you did that light post and the water on the ground. Also the technique of the man standing is amazing! Nice job 5/5 |

Both of you guys have excellent creations, I'm amazed! Yours is very impressive, however it lacked something that Raphael brought with his, so my vote will have to go to him. Good job, though, your creations in this competition have impressed me! |

A most excellent showing! You pulled off a tricky build quite well and also showed a lot of imagination. In the end, I have to side with the other judges and give my vote to RH, by a very narrow margin. Very nice work indeed and a great showing in these games by you! |

Wow, what an epic match-up! You both really went all out on your creations and they came out splendidly. This is a VERY difficult decision as they are so different, but of equal quality and I have been mulling this over since yesterday. In the end, I have to go with the most instantly recognizable of the two, which would be your opponents. It was a close call, but my vote goes to him.~H |

The last few rounds are always so hard to judge, two amazing builders going head-to-head! You created a fantastic scene capturing both the images from the movie poster and bringing in your own creative additions with the base of the MOC. I really enjoyed all the thought and extra details you have in your creation, it was a tough call, but my vote goes to your opponent. |

Both of you brought your A-game and your MOCs are outstanding. All things considered, it comes down to finesse IMO. I believe Ralph's MOC edged you in that department. My vote goes to your opponent.
Thanks, Shifu! I am glad that you voted for him. He really deserves it. |

I knew a first sight that this was 'Singing in the Rain'. I love your brickwork on the arch, the street lamp and that decorated octagonal base which indeed, as Leda said, reminds one of a music box. Best of Luck. |

Awesome take on the poster. Too bad there's no convincing way to replicate the rain, it looks a bit like singing in the sun. Like Leda, love the foot in the air! Good luck! |

Wonderful! Instantly recognisable. I LOVE Singin in the Rain, and funnily enough I considered doing this one too during my brief "Maybe a poster from a musical?" moment. Excellent way to interpret the title with the wonderful little designs in between. I am reminded of an old fashioned music box, I want to reach into my computer screen and turn the base to wind it up and hear the music. Great detail with Gene's little foot in the air on that "cool shot". Well done indeed and best of luck to you! |
