This is my entry for The Great Hobbit Contest. As You can see, it is a mini-scale version of Laketown, The lonely Mountain and the fringe of Mirkwood. Being as there is no movie yet, i used my artistic license to create this model so please don't judge it based on what you think the scene would look like. In addition, you can see my first mini-scale dragon, Smaug which i think came out alright. The hardest part of the moc was probably Mirkwood since i had o idea how to make trees until i was rummaging through my collection and came across the green hair, then the rest just came together. Well, i hope you like it and for all those who enjoy little Easter eggs, i included one towards the end of the inside of the Lonely Mountain and the immense treasures of Smaug.

Wow! You're really good at micro scale! Smaug is pretty awesome too! By the way, for Demigod Adventures, I have posted the page where we create our characters, so I would love it if you would go on over there and do that! Thanks! -Caleb |

33/35 accuracy to book, looks pretty accurate. 23/25 originality, I've seen a few mocs of this scene before. 25/30 creativity/technique, putting that easter egg really made it cool. However, I think the whole moc could just use some more plant life or detail. 8/10 accurate scale for micro-builds, some proportions are a bit off. Total 94/100, great work and thanks for participating :) |
