Here is my new model i've built, i decided early on whilst planning how this model was going to work, that i'd build a custom chassis from scratch, not relying on the ferrari or the other supercar frames i have in the past, to fit around the v8 i had in first, which had to be replaced by the current inline 4 cylinder for the newer suspension front-end to fit properly,
this is actually the second incarnation of this model, having a 'hard' top, full suspension, and bonnet, which the original lacked, as you can see from the side view, i have tried to do a twin-turbo setup, and i have used my self-designed wheels from my previous models, with the stretched rear tyres over wider rims,
this front end suspension unit took a lot of development time, as it doesn't relate to any of my old units, and had to work in a certain way, whilst being small enough to not make the front too wide, and simple enough to modify if needed
the rear suspension is based on regular solid axles found on many american hot-rods, so the only thing that holds this axle in place is the transmission, and the 4 dampers, allowing a fully-floating axle, as shown in the last picture
enjoy! please leave comments, any criticism welcome :)
Gosh, this is very very nice. I love the futuristic/sleek side profile. The turbo 4 would sound glorious I'm sure. :) Oh, and lovely stretch - I haven't seen anyone other than me do that (I have a stretch set-up on my current WIP). Congrats on entering the elite section of the Rod Club.
