Ok, first my opening rant about T3, then we can get down to some Lego. Why spend millions making a movie that has a near identical storyline to it's predecessor? They wasted the perfect chance to make a Terminator movie set entirely in the future (post-apocalyptic LA) but NNOOOOO-we get Arnie carrying Sara Connor's coffin! Wow.

Ok, sitting down now. Now: Lego! Most off my meager collection seems to be grey bricks, so I'm trying MOCs that utilise a lot of grey lately. I happened to come across pictures of the Aerial Hunter Killers from the Terminator trilogy. A-ha!

There seems to be 2 versions; one has a flat nose, and on the other one the nose appears to drop down.

I found some good refence photos of the former here:

http://www.fantastic-plastic.com/AERIEL%20HUNTER%20KILLER%20PAGE.htm

so I've tried to be as faithfull as I can to this version. There's some cool trivia on that page too.

I reckon this ship would look better in all blue-grey bricks (do you guys call them "bley" for short?)

Check it out.

It's hard to see in these photos but the laser gun swing down and can pivot from side to side.

Well. It sure has evolved. When I saw Terminator 1 for the first time, it was a floating piece of card board being held by strings with guys in stirafome suits shooting ballisticly at it. Am I wrong? Well, nice creation, man.

I have to say this is very beautifully built... I like your creative use of the angled pieces and the opposite/inverted gray aerodynamic pieces. I usually think linear-ally because I'm into computer design, but you did an excellent job on this.

This was my favorite vehicle from T2, I would watch the whole movie just because I wanted to see it again. Great job! It's the perfect mix of menacing machine and alien and has all the important details like the landing gear and the turret.

I agree with Clay - The Aarial hunter/killer is one of those immortal screen robots that just had to be recreated in the medium of lego and who better to do it? fantastic job! the accuracy is exact and the undercarriage is decidedly 'busy' with greebed detailing. Brilliant! ;)
