B325-LA
Tracked, long-range support/assault tank. Quad light autocannon.
About this creation
First and foremost, this design is based heavily upon Daniel Siskind's 'Panther'. It has certainly been modified from the original, but his design was my inspiration.

This theme takes place in our universe, year is 2100, technology is hopefully evolutionary of that which exists today. This tank is the first of three to four (I only have enough technic links to make four tanks, and I may use some to make a troop transporter) tanks that will be part of this army/company.

Troops will use mostly conventional weapons, but extrapolated to future designs (these will be custom designs from Lego pieces, and the fine weapons from Brickarms). Troops will number between 150 to 200.

This Tank is a Pimm Industries (which originally started with a novel approach to removing plagues from the body's arteries before diversification) B325-LA, and is produced by the Corporation's heavy vehicle division.

Specification:
Weight: 36,300kg (40 tons)
Engine: Turbine powered by fuel cell technology
Crew: 3-5 (can be run by 1 if needed)
Main Weapon: 4X light autocannon - 20mm
Secondary Weapons:
1) Flame thrower (front mount)
2) 8 gauge smooth bore double barrel (front mount)
3) .75 caliber select fire (top mount)
Armour: Undisclosed. Laminate design with experimental energy
absorption properties. Very light weight.
Classification: Medium tracked ground long-range support/assault.

The B325-LA was designed for long range fire support. The four light autocannons alternate firing allowing the barrels time to cool between rounds. This design can be problematic as the ammo feeding mechanism has a habit of jamming. If needed, all four barrels can be fired simultaneously. This is devastating to the target, but results in a long reloading time before the barrels can resume their sequential firing pattern.

This particular tank (and the rest that I will be making) belong to the Highlands Company, which is responsible for protection of Pimm Industries' assets.

The Highlands Company is where Dr. Pimm selects his personal guards from and is also the company that is involved in the acquisition of assets from other corporations (a pre-'Perfect Dark' Hypercorp genre).

Sorry, looks more like a 'V' engine rather than a turbine.

There is room for 5 crew, forgive the wrong colour hands on the one soldier.

The crew, and again, sorry about the hand colour - didn't think about it until the pics were cropped and posted.

Sweet mother McGillicutty. There are so many things wrong with this, I wouldn't know where to begin. I think I'd like to take your tank and roll it over some of the ones that appear elsewhere, though.

Cool! I don't like the gun though. Try just one bigger gun.

nice adoptation of Dan's Panther. It reminds me of the Leopard Flakpanzer, which is a German AA tank. love the black!

Nice tank, you did a great job with the weaponnery, realy realistic. I also like the design of the turret. And don't worry with your engine, even if it look like a "V" engine it stil look great.

The fact that it has four cannons instead of one (or even two, like mine) makes it look really cool.

I love it. I've been trying to build a tank for awhile, but your design is great! I might have to *borrow* some of these ideas.
