It's nice, but since its the new series version the head is a little on the squashed side, and the neck area needs work to be accurate(needs to look as if the hanger pylons can retract into it (Concave instead of Convex).). Otherwise its awesome, love the look. Very well built, just not accurate enough for 5/5. |

A drill it is, indeed! I might be standing a in the dark corner at the moment, but I´ve got something little cooking. Slowly. Nothing special and nothing GAIA. It was made from leftovers of my Excelsior and turned into a cute litte Star Trek ship. The main focus lies on photo editing here, though. You know some phasers and torpedos fireing, strange space phaneomena, particle beam scanners, WARP SPEED of course and so on, and so on. I´m just not very patient and do only one or two pics a day, with long breaks between days! Hehe. Dont´t like the drill! ;-) |

How could I miss this one!? Nice mix of the old and new BSG series and your very own touch of classic space that makes up a very delicious meal. I´m sure you´ll create a great storyline here, as you did with the GAIA storyline. (Hmm, need to build GAIA stuff again...!) On question: Is the model entirely grey? Sometimes it looks like, you´ve shopped some colours here!? Anyways, an excellent ship and some nice photo editing! ~Cheers
Hahaha, well spotted, it's actually an effect in itself I suppose and I wondered if I couldn't utilise it in the future to greater effect cos it makes the rendering look better. Yeh, I used greys blues and reds on this and kind of blended it all together. The ship is about 70% grey, and half and half the rest. I'll still focus on GAIA Marc, the BSG thing is kind of an ongoing break here and there if you know what I mean. And I would love to see a new GAIA build from you buddy. I have almost finished a Draggone ship 103 studslong, she's not bad, just doing some interiors and the like, you know the drill, lol. Cheers Marc :) |

Quoting El Barto !
That's a cool idea, like a Down Periscope scifi adventure. "Lt, you're almost out of uniform!"
Haha, yeh, sort of. The one thing I know I don't want to do is copy anyone, yourself included Barto. If I go Galactica my plan is to diverge from the original arc probably at the decommisioning ceremony when the attack occurs, or just after Adama is shot by Boomer. For me, series one was the best by far, and most of season two was good. I love the last ship of humanity on the run angle, being chased to extinction. I hated the peace accord that was reached and the whole let's forgive and forget angle it delved into. The show then went from sci fi horror to sci fi drama and lost a lot of its truly creepy atmosphere when it did that. I would prefer to keep it sci fi horror if I were making it. Then again, for my own arc here on Moc PAges, I a was leaning towards comedy anyway! LOL, decision, decisions...

Well my friend, which ever way you spin this yarn I have no doubt your unique style will show through for the quality it is. Just make sure to include plenty of shower silliness, gratuitous groping and naughty bits for all us over the hill ABS pervs to drool over! |

So you're taking a GAIA break for a while and going a different direction, huh? I'm sure you'll pull it off. Here's a thought. Don't make it the Galactica. Have it be a different battlestar that went off in a completely different direction and then you can make as zany as you want while still being tied to the whole BSG universe.
You know I am considering that strongly, but I really wanted to use the BSG cast?

Nice edits, Parrington. Your Battle Star's definitely coming along, but I think you should tone down the engine exhaust effects. The last one is nearly perfect, but the others seem a little... over done? ^Blub^ |

Hahaha, cheers bro, I seriously had LEgo block and just started building this, and two days later I'm already posting it - I'm so cheap and easy I didn't even quite finish it! I hope to do so today and upload some extra pics, won't be doing aother post short of episode one. Thanx as always for looking mate :) |

GOOD start there Parrington. I still am not going to give the 2003 Galactica a go yet.... THAT will be left until I can do it justice... It is great to see your giving it a smoother sleeker look. I am still building the Valkyrie it seems to have grown to 9 feet long and this time no internal non lego timber and steel. Keep up the terrific build.
Hahaha, 9feet! Wow, 'that's what she said' man your idea of doing a BSG justice boggles the mind, lol, I'm glad not to have offended anyone with my attempt, cheers man and some fun tales to follow, can't wait to see your 'Valkyrie' |

It looks great! It looks proportional, if you ask me. And also, my USS Enterprise-D, which in the Star Trek universe would be 2,200 ft long, would be roughly scale to your ship!! |
