What an excellent present you got! I had no idea that you were a dentist. Personally, my dentist fiercly dislikes me because I abuse my poor teeth. But next time I go in for a cleaning, I'll be sure to be extra nice to my dentist for your sake now that I know you're out there dealing with horrible patients like me :)

So long as you stay away from 0 degree margins and feather/knife edge on your preps, your techs will be happy when doing crowns, especially with PFM's but also with metal work, as it can bend and fracture when too thin. Full metal is usually pretty straight forward, and some people actually prefer it, want some mouth-bling I guess. Nice to find another dental fan of lego.

I'm a chamfer/bevel man myself...Full cast when I can talk someone into it. I always enjoyed the lab stuff in school. Still do all my own denture set ups, even make my own resin RPDs. Lots of people go back to dental school after other careers.
