New layout of the page, same old pictures
About this creation
The same Mehari, the same pictures. Just an idea to put all previews in one entry, to clean up my page. I call it a super car as it will have susension, steering, engine, and gearbox. Enjoy, rate, comment. :-)
I use two left and two right 3*12 widge plates. I want to use another one of each in the further project. This is going to be quite a search, as this pieces are only relaesed in one model. (in this color anyway). I'm open for suggestions? :-)
You can see part of the engine (cooling fan). Otherwise I couldn't keep up scale.
Suspension is pendular. Front wheel drive, steered, two piston engine, two speed (low-high no neutral) gearbox. I am proud I could fit this all in. :-)
last picture shows an early version of the suspension. Steering didn't work out this way, and engine was to much situated to the front to keep scale.

Wow very good front end, you fit a lot of stuff into it. Also I like the rear suspension. When its done I'll rate it. |

Now I've got it right! First I thought, it would be a 2CV. OK, right chassis, wrong bodywork, so I was 50% right :-)) I remember having seen a lot of Meharis during my summer vacations in Spain in the late 70s and ealy 80s. The model already looks great, the final one will definitely get the 5th smiley from me! Well done, so far! :-)) |
