As some of you knows, the phenix has gone in USA in October...... Unfortunately... not in one piece !! That is why, after much anger and loooong conversation, I could go in US to repare it... After two days of "working", the phenix reborn from his ashes for the happiness of his owner and me !!!! Here you have some pictures of the before and the after... What I can say, is that Mr Eddie (on the last picture) is a very cool guy (and his staff also). He helpd me a lot !! Thanks Eddie !! And more, as a real geek, he create with his brother a new lego web site... here the link:http://www.brickpicker.com/. I hope to everyone to see "his" MOC in the hand of very cool guys like Eddie... I hope you will enjoy this postand now, go back to work you lazy geeks !!!
About this creation
After the first day, step by step, we had something new.....
First thing to do, the feet...
Here the happy owner after the total reconstruction...
here you can see the surprise I had when we opened the box....

That would be a nightmare! I admire your dedication, and it looks like you did a good job repairing it. It would be a pity if such a great MOC was destroyed. Great work! |

Don't forget that not only did Christophe fly halfway around the world to repair his ship, he donated it in the first place. Brothers Brick did a very job with the charity auction for the Japanese Quake survivors, but Christophe donated his 'baby' that must have cost him(I'm being consevative here...LOL) in the range of $5000+ American dollars. That's pretty cool. |

It's unfortunate, but Lego creations are some of the most delicate models I know of. Getting a MOC across town is difficult enough - moving one to the other side of the globe can be a nightmare. Christophe, I can't begin to tell you how cool it was of you to fly half way around the world to help re-assemble this beautiful creation. I honestly don't know too many builders who would have been willing to do that. But, I'm glad to see the work back in one glorious, shining, piece of uber-genius MOCage! I hope to see more work from you in the future. Meanwhile, thanks for letting us in on the Pheonix's fate! Thank you very much Mark !! I was always wondering how you guys do to move your MOCS inside the US... And more when I see the size !! But as you said, that the "fate" of LEGO, to be destroy and rebuilt until the end of the world.... and that's what I love in this game !! And more when it is possible to travel..... But the next step is when you'll get finished your amazing "hammer of god" !!!! You let us wait !!!! until when when when ?????!!!!! ;-))))) |

Hi everyone...My name is Eddie Mack. I am the proud new owner of the 'Phenix'! I would like to thank the coolest Frenchman in the world, Christophe Corthay. He not only flew thousands of miles to repair 'his' ship, he spent his own money and took time away from his family to do this. Without him, I doubt the Phenix would ever have risen from the ashes. But the best part of all of this, I made a friend. I hope to give the Phenix the home it deserves. You are truly a genius with Legos and one of the most generous people I know. Thanks for everything! |
