EF111 Raven
The USAF's primary tactical jamming aircraft, the EF111 is built onto the tried and tested airframe of the F111 "aadvark" twin seat fighter bomber. It was used extensively in the early stages of desert storm to disrupt Iraqi radar stations so F15E strike eagles could get through and use "H.A.R.M" anti-radar missiles to destroy the defences.
About this creation

The Raven with the wings extended.

The cockpit

The inside showing the electronic warfare officers station to the right. It seats 2 minifigs comfortably but I think they make it too tacky.

Top view

side view of the nose showing landing gear

Jet intakes and rear landing gear.

The tail showing rear warning Radar as thr Raven is vulnerable to fighters.

Rear view showing the two 82kN Pratt & Whitney TF30-P-3 turbofans

When pulled out this technic part will spread the wings...

and this.

bottom view showing the landing gear.

The final view, showing the power of thr TF30 turbofans!

Quoting Nightmaresquid This is something I would want to build, and would put it in a shelf to admire. 5*
Glad you think so but this was flimbsy as heck and broke roughly every two days or so. It was very rough and not brilliantly built. It may look fine but it was a botched job at best. It has now rejoined the great stream of bricks!

Wonderfull job on this, I agree it could do with some tiles, but Its so awesome either way. This is something I would want to build, and would put it in a shelf to admire. 5*

This thing is cool. You've got all the details and I really like how you did the wings and air inlets.

nice! the tank tracks for afterburners are good. my brother actually saw two e-111 ravens fly over our house. good for a huge scale model but i think maybe gray would be a better color to use for the landing gear hubs.

Quoting Marty Fields First time I have ever seen anyone do a Lego Raven. I have always loved the Aardvark. Nice swinging mechanism and pseudo afterburn. Great work. A small amount of conctructive critisism: (i)the front gear still looks a bit small (I know it is a bit diddy anyway!)-could it be made just a tad larger?(ii)using angle plates would make the wing edges a bit smoother. Keep building!
I don't have enough angled Dark grey plates for the wings and i did try a bigger front undercarrige but there was no way to get a bigger double wheel without it being too wide. thanks for the criticism though!

This is pretty cool, i especially like the cockpit, Ive had to do that a few times too because I didn't have the right windshield piece. Just 1 piece of advice, everybody love SNOT, while only a few people love studs, I like them either way, but you usually get more likes and it looks sleeker if you SNOT it up or use the flat top bricks. plus you should spend about half an hour looking around fro every military type group imaginable and add your creation to those. look at a few of my thing to get all the groups I use.

Quoting Achintya Prasad This is a really cool MOC! The only thing that I can complain about this is that you should change the front landing gear wheel. It is a little small for this craft. Other than that, IT IS PERFECT!!!!
I see what you mean but the raven actually has a tiny double wheel at the front, it looked weird when i first saw it too.

Urm... Wow. This is so cool. It looks excellent from every angle especially the top. Very clever technique to open the wings. Excellent build. Oh yeah and I love all the studs showing. Shame about the minifigs though but I know what you mean.
