The Mercedes 170v was a versatile and sturdy automobile used by the Wehrmacht in WWII. Though originally produced as a civilian model in 1936, the 170v was requisitioned for military use at the start of the second world war. It was used by senior officers and Party members as a staff car during the conflict. After the war, it became the foundation on which the company rebuilt, because the factories had somehow survived allied bombing campaigns. The version shown here is a convertible variant. This was a quick and little build and actually alot of fun.
No, those Germans aren't saluting; in order to keep the size down I needed to put their arms like that so they would all fit in the car!
I tried to keep the design really simple, but a bit of SNOT never hurts.
