I caught a break and found a new batwing at Target for the normal price rather than the toysrus markup. My son and I had a blast putting this set together. Despite the negative reviews of this jet I really like it. I never really liked the older oversized batwing. That being said, I agree with the numerous reviews that the underside of the current set is overly plain. In the animated series batman is always quick droping out of the bottom of his jet swooping into the heart of the action. I decided to add that play feature to my new batwing. In the end the bottom does not look much better than the original, but I am pretty pleased with the new play feature. Just wish I had two yellow slope bricks for the main seat and a black hinge instead of the light grey. I'll eventually pick somthing up on bricklink, but first I need to finish working on my new batcomputer/cave design Happy new Year everyone!

Worked up a quick build in LDD I did not recreate the full build but just enough to show what changes were made to the cockpit area. Should be enough for anyone to duplicate my mod. enjoy!

Nice mods. I would love some of these sets but they are not available in the Uk yet.
