Elutherian Tech Fighter
I ~Love~ Mecha! Giant Robots are absolutely fun to build with Lego and Megablok! I may never get MOC of the day because I include Megablok in my builds, but I don't really mind. I encourage builders to embrace Megabloks because there are some useful parts in this particular brand of building block. THe back boosters and the pivots for the stomach and waist are megablock pieces, as well as the knee joints, which are handy for mecha that are somewhat top heavy because they support more weight than the Lego brand, which are good for hinging feet and arms. The shoulders on this mecha swivel back and forth to simulate realistic shoulder movements for stop-motion (This thing would be a beast animated). I was inspired by the color scheme of Achilles battlemech in Robot Jox, an old 80's film. I didn't quite have all o the parts I needed to make the entire build uniform in color, so I made do with what I had. Also, late in the uploading are the open missile racks on the shoulder paldrons.
About this creation
Elutherian Tech Fighter 001, awaiting pilot identification

"Pilot Ident: Mathew Jameson Armadon. Key Entry Alpha, Alpha, Zulu, One."

E1-AI: "Pilot Ident confirmed. Powering up, disconnecting umubilical charge conduit...Complete. Calibrating gyros...Complete.

Hey..excuse me..do you know where "Mos Eisley Cantina" is located?"

"Hey! Helloooo...?"

Gah! Shot in the back by a rat! This pose is to demosntrate the articulation and balance the model can achieve.

The hinges here are MegaBlok. I thought they made for a decent pivot, and I had so many of them I took advantage of it. I think it came out well. Never underestimate the power of "Lesser" building tos. Some of their parts are quite handy.

This is the first decent-looking blast rifle I've ever built.

A view of the ammo canister on the opposite side.

"Your move, creep!....Dead or alive, you're coming with me!"

Victory Pose.

A shot with the optional spear, showin off more balance and articulation.

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! looks quite nice. I love some of those poses you did. sorry to tell you, but I'm one of those people that dislikes Mega Bloks. don't worry, this thing is plenty good enough to make up for it. :P
Thank you so very much! While I don't much like the Megablok basic mini-figs, their franchise mini-figs are ~excellently~ designed, such as the Halo and Iron Man mini-figs. I find MEgablok to have a lot of very useful parts, When they first came out with Blok-bots, I bought the fighter jet, which came with pieces that had mini-guns and missiles attached, which give any battlemech design a truly ferocious arsenal and appearance. I suggest looking to Megablok for parts that are unique in design, such as with the Halo Franchise, as they have a myriad of useful parts that would come in handy for just about any sci-fi build.

Hmmm, I feel that some additional explanation would add to the appeal of the MOC.

Pretty neat mecha! I don't really mind the use of mega blocks since it has some useful stuff and sometimes can give something extra to the MOC. For me this MOC is like it's alive! Nice work.

Quoting Rabid Goldfish That's one very flexible mecha. The colors should be a bit more coordinated, but otherwise, well designed. How stable is it, if I may ask? ^Blub^
It's quite stable, actually. All of the poses here are free-stand, meaning they use no outside source of balance. The mecha can be practically bent in half and still stand on it's own two feet.
