Pictures of my lego aircraft carrier (USS Oliver L. Figfog) and destroyers surrounding it. Most pictures are exclusively lego. But I did take a few with some diecast jets on top which I think make it look pretty awesome for the most part. For the most part though all of the pictures are exclusively looking at the Carrier itself, from the shape of the deck to the island. In the background are the other ships of the fleet and the occasional shoe or target bag lol.
Yep thats a F9F :P before I changed the hull it was a straight style carrier, like pre-1950's and such. The reason the diecast ones are on there, is because I just dont really know how to scale a lego plane for that size, it would honestly be really tiny compared to the minifigs and I dont nearly have the grey pieces to attempt a micro fighter jet of sorts. This is still a work in progress so Ill be fixing the colors and addin some small LEGO jets.
Enough odd that I like it! The carrier itself is quite good, actually much better than a lot of other 'flower power' MOCs found on these pages. Even though I'm not sure if the fishing rod is the best ASW in the arsenal, I find the escorts nice too. Instead of using die-cast airplanes you should consider building some plastic scale models. I know it is nice to get an already finished plane into your hands, but the satisfaction of building one by yourself, can be much greater. Even megabloks are a big sinn for some people (despite this I like them. And use them a lot...)so I guess that they won't be very pleased with non-LEGO planes here either. But if that is a F9F Panther in the background, some things can be forgiven... :-)
