I always wanted to have a grabber or reacher if you perfer. So i made one with Lego. It works quite well. It has a lock so the jaws lock shut at any width. it has a finger lever to close the jaw and it springs open again via a rubber band. It can also be shut via pulling a knob on the very end
Nice back scratcher ;). I made one of these years ago (back in the 80s) but not as sophisticated as this. It was featured in a Lego ideas book (8889 I think)
