“Got to hand it to you Blofeld—your deathtraps are getting more creative!”
About this creation
I’m a fairly obvious fan of James Bond, and one aspect I find interesting is the elaborate death traps that 007’s foes set for him. So in this vignette, James Bond’s number one advisory Ernst Stavro Blofeld and the man with the Golden Gun, Francisco Scaramanga have captured 007 and are attempting to elaborately kill him—with no chance of him escaping.
Just one of these dangerous devices would be enough to kill any agent—but Bond is not just any agent. Knowing this, Blofeld has gathered together various death devices such as flamethrowers, saws, drills, rockets, lasers, piranhas, and a crocodile to collectively kill 007—oh and Scaramanga is there for the overkill factor.
4th Wall:
I’m very happy with how this MOC turned out, especially the smooth floor and general look of a Japanese castle—a reference to You Only Live Twice. The weapons meant to bring about Bonds death are also references to 007 films such as the laser (Goldfinger), drill (Tomorrow Never Dies), piranhas (You Only Live Twice), missiles (Goldeneye), crocodile (Live and Let Die), and the Golden Gun (The Man with the Golden Gun).
