MOC Speed Contest: Round 2. Tie-Fighter
Ok I know what your thinking, "Wow Chris way to step out there and try something new." I know a Tie-Fighter is nothing new but I was really struggling with this category and decided to go with something simple. I have no knowledge of an actuall micro Tie-Fighter LEGO set but if there is than I haven't seen it.

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist You have all sorts of ideas? For Micro-scale? Can't wait to see them! Great work on this, even if it is small!
Not necessarily micro-scale but I do have some (IMO) really good ideas. Thanks for the comment :)

Quoting Flare . Not bad, but nothing special going on here. 11 points + 4 bonus points = 15 points overall!
Agreed. I, in all honesty, have no intentions of moving forward in this contest. With Quad and Luke in my category there is basically no hope of moving on for me. I also just have so many ideas that I feel like this contest is sort of holding me back. Thanks for the rating anyways though :)

Quoting Ben The Lego Builder Interpretation of Category: 4/5 Photography/Set-up: 4/5 Quality of Build: 4/5 My Personal Rating: 3/5 Bonus Points: 4/5 Total: 19/25 I like the cockpit area and the wing shape, but I think that whilst the grills look good they do stick out quite a bit. I think that if you had add them in the 2x2 hole between the wing pieces then they would have looked just as good.
The wings turned out to be a little trickier than I thought. I'm sure though that if I had spent more time on it I could have done something like what you suggested. Thanks for the constructive criticism and rating of course :)

Quoting George G. OK.... It's a nice model, but something a little bigger with more detail would have been nicer. And there has been a Mini TIE set: http://m.brickset.com/detail/?set=3219-1 I am awarding you 9 + 4 = 13. Thank you.
Ok, you ask me for something micro and when I build it you ask for something bigger? I'm a little confused here. Also there there isn't much you can do with a mini Tie-Fighter detail wise. And like I said I didn't know whether or not there had been an actuall set before. Thanks for rating.

Quoting Eric W. Looks awesome dude! Way better than any of the micro sets. I like the use of the light bley grille plates on the wings. Awesome work overall!
Thanks! I was a bit worried the grill plates were a bit overkill.
