Darth Malice was a Meerian and former mechanic. He was born on Coruscant and when the war started he quickly joined the Republic Army. However, he soon began to see the corruption that had taken root in the Republic and half way through the war he defected to the Separatists. Near the war's end he was stationed on Mygeeto when Ki-Adi-Mundi and two other Jedi lead an attack on their base. Meerian fought hard but was cornered by one of the Jedi. Though Malice did kill the Jedi he lost his left eye during the fight.
Later on Darth Sion discovered Malice. Sensing power within him along with a burning hatred for the Jedi, Sion took Malice as his Apprentice.
