AK-S02 "Arachnophobia" Mech
The AK-S02 Mech. The Arachnophobia is no Mech to be taken lightly by enemy forces. Altough slow to move and somewhat vulnerable to faster targets, the Arachnophobia was meant to both take and give a massive walloping. The AK-S02 has the thickest armor of any current EAF Mech and cannot be surpassed in terms of durability. This armor makes the Mech slow and cumbersome and venerable to fast attack units, but if escorted by a squad, the Arachnophobia will eventually reach its destination. To most enemies, the first goal is to take out the Arachnophobia's that are advancing upon their location for one reason. The massive beam cannon mounted to its back. This gargantuan weapon takes close to 2 minutes to charge, but once the cannon is fully charged, the power with which it erupts will blind the unprepared on-looker. The 800,000 gigawatt blast will tear through anything put in the Arachnophobia's path. Anything. Once the enemy sees this Mech enter the battlefield, its game over for them. There is no stopping this Mech once it arrives on the battlefield. If the EAF needs a garrisoned city taken down, they bring in 2 to 3 of these babies. This IS the ultimate siege weapon created by and for the EAF.
About this creation
EDIT: This is the newly improved version! I hope you guys like it!
EDIT: I've improved the fold down guns on the abdomen and repainted a little bit!

The side of the AK-S02, this is one massive Mech

A view of the Arachnophobia's abdomen. This hulking part of the Mech stores the energy needed to fire the cannon.

Th Cannon. This cannon is so powerful and can wreak so much havoc that it is considered to be a MWD, or Weapon of Mass Destruction.

The cannon gunner must have the utmost expertise in the use of Super Heavy Plasma Weapons and must be extremly advanced in Heavy and Super Heavy weapon systems. It is only suitable that a "Heavy" EAF Troop would man this type of weapon.

The pilot block. It has two 20 caliber machine guns for taking out targets in front of the Mech while it makes its way to its destination. It has very sophisticated comms and nav systems, so the highly trained Pilot Trooper is the lucky pilot of this behemoth.

The Arachnophobia's abdomen. This part of the Mech stores the massive amounts of energy needed to fire the cannon. It also houses AI components to fire the two 20 cal machine guns in the back.

A view of the two twenty cal machine guns placed in the back of the Mech. This allows the AK-S02 to deal with enemy units that try to sneak up from behind.

The guns also fold down, as is seen here.

The cannon firing its massive laser beam. Ask any enemy of the EAF, you do not want to be on the business end of this weapon.

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! I'd love to help with those issues if you want. but that's not quite what I mean. the real issue is managing to build this thing without your computer going into meltdown. of course, I did see one guy on here that built some 30,000+ up-to-scale battleship, but he must own some kind of supercomputer. :P well, if anything, you can try. :)
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing. Well my computer has 8GB of RAM, I dont know how long that will hold LDD up for though. Ill just have to save like a mad man and work on it over the period of a month or so. But I would greatly appreciate your help. Maybe this can be a joint project? So long as your computer can handle it, I dont want your computer bursting into flames haha (:

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! oh wow. this is REALLY nice! sadly, I think this is WAY too big to be built to minifig scale, because this would be nothing short of breath-taking in a full-size version.
You know, i like that idea. Although it would take me a few months to get right and make it look good, plus I would need some help for creating the pilots cockpit and gunner seat (I CANNOT make one for the life of me!), but it would definitely be a very interesting, VERY big mech. Sounds like a challenge >:)

Quoting ariklego ...The Director! VERY nice! it doesn't look that maneuverable, but otherwise it's incredible! out of curiosity, about how many minifigs high would you say this is? and I hate to disappoint you, but I know of some VERY big Mechs that could top this thing pretty easily. very nice design. I have a feeling a minifig-scale version of this would be VERY cool.
Thanks! Ive been comparing this mech to some of my other ones and I have to agree with you, its very small, even by Mini Mech standards. I think Im going to rebuild it, but keep the same idea going. I want to make it a little bit bigger than my MN chassis, considering how I said it was a massive Mech. Anyways thanks for the Criticism, its always appreciated (:
