About this creation
I created these guys to feature in the MOCs I built for the LEGO Castle Contest. The Fright Knights have always been one of the weakest LEGO Castle factions, but the contest demanded a Good vs Evil theme. As a result I gave the Fright Knights a do over, focusing on the hint that LEGO Racers gave us that Basil the Bat Lord was really a vampire ....
Elements used to construct the figs came from the following themes - Vikings, Knight's Kingdom 1 & 2, Star Wars, Batman, Harry Potter, Technic (the Rubber Band), & The Divers theme (chrome knife), Adventurers (Veck's Head) & of course, Castle
Black Tom got a mention on the The Brothers Brick =)
Following is a list of the MOCs they appeared in & the blurb behind each creation. Thumbnails are links to each creation's Brickshelf folder
My Final Joust won the Joust Catagory in the LEGO Castle Contest 2007. Each of the other entries earned an honorable mention.

Final Joust
The battle vs good & evil is played out amongst the jousting lists. Bat Lord champion, Lord Veck, has challenged the honour of the King! The dispute is to be settled through a joust. Much to Prince Eustace's frustration the King chooses his Knight Marshal over his son to champion him in the match. Eustace isn't convinced the Bat Lord will play fair & keeps a watchful eye on the proceedings...

Crusader's Towerhouse
Black Tom attempts to free Willa the Witch from the goal within King Harold's Towerhouse. Normally Black Tom's magic alone would be more than a match for the Crusaders - But not on Gerard the Green's watch! The wizards battle on the Tower steps

Major Props for the makeover! It's good to reinvent a great theme like this. I like what you did with their armor. That's the best part. Keep up the good work. |
