Prancing Horse / Cavallino Rampante
I managed to get some building time last night whilst watching Ocean's 13. I have been struggling for inspiration recently but luckily this came together in a few hours. Hopefully this is the end of my 'MocBlock' ;)

Hi Ape I have responded on one of your mocs. :)

@ below: All filmed out the back of my house. I'm surprised people don't spot the same bit of woods has been used for Gladiator, Robin Hood, Children of Men, Bond, Harry Potter... It's cool to live on the film set but it makes mountain biking a bit difficult at times... Awesome to see where you get your inspiration from Mortal, never guessed it would have been a TV ad!

Quoting Nick Pascale When I saw this it reminded me of a Broadway Show (actually at Lincoln Center) WAR HORSE. I am dying to see it and the Spielberg movie version as well! What has me amazed is on Broadway the horses are 1 and a half live size and are run by 3 to 4 puppeteers! This horse is to me the LEGO VERSION! If you or any visitor are interested here is a link: http://www.broadway.com/shows/war-horse/photos/
Hi Nick. I actually saw a clip of this on the telebox and it inspired me to build it. Thank you so much for your kind comments.

Thanks guys. @ Moodswim – Yeah that area is my least favourite bit too. I would also like to smooth the legs a bit. Thanks for your feedback. @ Hans – Hahaha not the best film in the world but it does have lots of great actors. Glad you like the horse though. @ Tomaso – thanks dude we are both on there now :). Currently building some 4 and 5 wide racers.

This is quite beautiful and deserving of so much notice! I love the articulation of the legs and the overall shape. One thing that bugs me, though, is the space between the head and neck. I understand that you wanted the head to be poseable, but it would look better with the neck and head as 1 piece IMO. Great work!

Hi Joe! :-) I hope you are well, but with such a nice moc, I think things aren't that bad :-). Thanks for commenting on the preview again. The car is going to be 16 wide, and 40 (41?) long. That is about the right scale, 17 wide would be perfect, but too difficult. I think (but not yet tried, the suspension is strong enough(Clicks with two studs on every wheel?) I'm already far beyond the usage of bricks I own, but I will build it for real! One day... (but you can obtain the LDD for sure). Now I first am going to try to understand the proposals for improvement from Ape and DeTomaso.

I was the proud owner of a Thoroughbred mare for many, many years. I got her when she was 3 and lost her when she was 32 years old! Your poses are very realistic. A horse build is one of my goals, but I have not found the courage, as yet, to start one!

Spot on!!! The piece that you used for the mane is ingenious, would of never thought of using that before. My only thought is that the tail could be a little longer, but that's just me. :]

Quoting Marcus Paul My goodness, didn't know you are also a sculptor. It's gorgeous! If this is the result of a MOCblock - what can we expect when you get over it? Anyway I hope it will happen soon.
Thanks Marcus. Really appreciate your comments. I think I just needed a break from building cars. :)

Thanks everyone, really please you like it :) I might try the Jaguar next. @ Steffen – yes it is playable. I always try to make them playable even if it effects the looks. I would like to hide the joints but that would limit movement. Thanks for your comment :)

Thanks for the comments everyone I will fly by your pages later :). @ Tommy – I appreciate your honest opinion. I also fully agree with you. The top of the neck is my least favourite bit – It hinges (up and down) and allows the head to spin but it looks a bit incomplete. I chose function over aesthetics but I will try to revise. Thanks for your feedback always very welcome from you. @ Ape – That’s the plan ;). I also want to build the Lambo. and Jag. symbols :). Shame McLaren don't have an animal logo.

Glad to see you found some inspiration I love the body and the legs. Now that you are back on the horse so to speak I recommend revisiting the head and mane, which are not a strong point of the sculpt. with many of my various art/lego projects I find I can do 80-90% of a sculpt well right off the bat but there is always some element that I have to revisit, and sometimes that element requires 4-5 times the effort to do well. Hope you understand that I mean well with this bit of advise Tommy

No inspiration for ages and then blam! This is inspired! You just need to make a yellow shield and you'd have an amazing 3D Ferrari logo. 5 stars, it's an excellent build

Where are the wheels? You forgot the wheels! :-) No, this is a nice horse, I like how the neck can also move, not only the head. Mocblock is over, that's for sure!
