A Lesson to be Learned
Well hello everbody! This is the first Biblical MOC I have ever made. I was listening to my favorite Christian comedian when he quoted this verse, "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him." I immediately thought of making a little scene for it. So I did. Enjoy!
About this creation

"Don't play with that RC inside you hear?" said Little Timmy's father. you see, Christmas had just gone by and Santa had brought Little Timmy a RC. Well Little Timmy just loved that RC and played with it everyday, outside of course. But today it was raining and Little Timmy was bored. So what do you think Little Timmy did right after his father left the room?

He directly disobeyed his father's orders and played with his RC inside. Now what happens everytime we do something we're not supposed to?

Something goes wrong. For Little Timmy he ran his RC into the table that his mother's favorite flowers sat on.

Little Timmy's father came storming into the room. He grabed his paddle and proceeded to give Little Timmy a whipping. The morale of this story is don't disobey your parents.

The build: This was actually a really fun build. i got to try out that rock technique that uses studs. I also tried my hand at some furniture.

About halfway through building this thing, I realized there were no details on the outside. This cetainly would not do. So I tore down most of the wall and redid it with some windows with flowers.

"Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him."- Proverbs 22:15

Quoting Sebeus I Nicely done, I'm not really comfortable with the moral though, don't disobey your parents because they will whip you is a system based on fear, I'd rather let little timmy buy his mother some new flowers, with his own money ofcourse, or work for it, either way, atleast a constructive punishment of which he could learn a lot more than the the feel of a whiplash :S
Well as sons and daughters we should obey our parents. If we disobey we deserve to get punished, maybe not necessarily by a whipping but we should be punished. I guess it came across that I meant every time you do even a little thing wrong you should get whipped :S

Quoting El Barto ! Bet Timmy won't be doing THAT again! This used to be the norm in the US until the 70's or so. That's when everything started going down the toilet...
Yep. It explains why kids (and some adults) act like they do nowadays.

Somehow the house looks midieval which doesn't really fit with the story. But I really like the house, if it does seem like it should be in the 15th century. :)

Quoting Stormbringer . I think it would be best to explain more on the verse before you start a riot. Also be sure to remember that you don't have to take the messages such as these THAT literally. The morale of the verse does not mean that parents will use fear and punishment on their children if they do wrong, but instead it means that those who are foolish enough to behave LIKE a children (such as whining to get what they want) will eventually be corrected. Plus you might want to expand on the entire chapter instead of using one small verse, where by itself sounds absurd, and people will be quick to attack.
-_- Well then my parents took this verse THAT literally.

Funny, @august, I don't think that the devil is playing tricks with your mind, besides, why do you have to comment criticizing something or someone?

Whoa everybody let's calm down a bit! I don't want any fighting on my MOCs. But anyways thanks for the comments! I didn't really expect many people to comment on it since it's a Christian based MOC.
  January 15, 2012
@Sam, maybe you shouldn't interrupt peoples conversations and say how it's a $tupid thing to say. You should stop trolling Christians.
