Pirate Attack Frigate
Homeworld Expanded Universe Space Pirate Attack Frigate Ship
About this creation
This is a Pirate attack frigate from my homewoorld expanded universe theme...The chssis is inspired by Tim Z's amazing space works but i have modified it and replaced his missile equipment with my old style vertical twin medium autocannon turret (that has new rotation system) and placed 8 missile tubes on the side of the ship just befor the small reaction mass...This Ship also sets a new set of conventions for me that i had been thinking about for a while... email me if interested.

"box" same new design as on the Pirate Battle Carrier and The Sobani RTG01

   the turret rotates

and its rotating joint are now sturdy...the previous model required to be very careful with it

   the quad engines

i realize this is the only pic that shows the 8 missile tubes...these are short range "smart" missiles... they divide (or not) into smaller explosive particules (like flak guns) when targetted at fighters and stay as one big explosive on bigger targets

i like the little details in the front.. and i ll never get bored of my twin vertical turret!!!

tell me if you review... do you prefer pics with flash (like this one) or no flash?

imagine 92 of these comin at you;)!

here's some prototype of size convention from a squad of 3 fighters, a harpoon corvetee (formerly frigate) and a n attck frigate (formerly destroyer. I also have fixed the pirate color scheme now;)...

This new sizes luckily fit the Scor destroyer...The pirate battle carrier is a bit bigger than a destroyer but can only carry fighters and corvettes...thos it is wayyy more powerful than a regumar carrier...

nicely done, I make pirate ships and frigate too, they just aren't as modern as yours...

To the MOCpages community, and Pierre: I send out a apology. I simply chose to act with malicious impulse, and I would like to redeem myself. If you all deem it necessary...I will terminate my account on MOCpages, and Matt Black will be no more. Again, I apologize, and wish that I could take that back. Pierre, if you want to delete my comment, I wouldn't blame you. Have a nice day!

This is by far my favorite model; it has a sleek and dangerous look to it and has a modest amount of greebling. I just wish it weren't a pirate ship since it has such a smooth look to it.

I second the previous opinions on color scheme. The problem with the flash is that it's mono-directional, promoting glare and lowering contrast. you'll need some brighter lights coming in from a few angles.

Good job. This appears to be a very well engineered vessel (heavily inspired or not). If I may make a suggestion though, it seems to me that the ship might look better if you flipped the frontal orange section so that the long section is on "top," but you may disagree. However, other than that this model is pretty good, and certainly has the striking outline I would expect a ship like this to have. In all, very well designed and implemented.

Ah, no flash! Crank up the ambient natural light, avoid flash whenever possible. Yay for torpedoes! I like the solidified colour scheme, adds interest to what might otherwise be a bit of a boring shape (not a downside, a spaceship shouldn't be too crazy).

Awesome ship. I think it's better with the flash, unless there's lots of glare or something.

Yes to the flash. Pierre, you are an excellent artist. I've been trying to build something along the same lines as what you are doing but I can't seem to get anything I like, however I did make something in the LDD program, I might put up pictures of it sometime, so check out my site periodically if you get a chance too. Keep up the great work.

I really like the colors and the aggressive look of this Pierre. And I like the flash pics. As always, keep up the good work!
