My entry for Nova Refuge Zygbar/Yavakaro Vehicle Design Contest. "Yavakaro entry"
About this creation
This thing is huge… So I just left the pictures in their raw state, yeah, you can see the edges of my white-background.
The Enenra is a Yavakaro heavy fighter, developed to field-test, stealth technology, heavy weapons, and several other ideas, such as Rear-Mono-Wheel-landing-gear. The ---- is equipped with a stealth field generator, and two “dai-kyu Rail-guns”. The “dai-kyu Rail-gun” is Yavakaro’s equivalent to Xarkon’s “Gungnir Shield Breaker Cannon”, but a few design features are also shared with Xarkon’s Valkyrie. The idea behind the Enenra, was a fighter capable of attacking a capital ship. One squadron could destroy entire battle-groups, and when it’s weapons are fired against a fighter class, little remains of the target. It is also equipped with four ship-to-ship missiles.
In Japanese Myth and Lore, Enenra is a creature made entirely of smoke. So, I figured a vessel with stealth capabilities is much like smoke, wafting often un-seen.

Engine detail.

Wing Detail.

The two missiles on either side of the cockpit… It would’ve had four in each rack, but then it would be shooting the cockpit. They really should’ve paid more attention to the Valkyrie…

Cockpit detail.

It slides back, and yes, it’s cramped.

The belly of the beast.

A shot of the Mono-Wheel

Detail of its weapons. The entire ship is built around two giant sized wing-mounted rail-guns…
Yeah, I really stink at pictures of space-ships...

Great minds think alike :D I see you also used the "two arches pinned together" technique for the rotating weapon mounts. This ship captures the very essence of Yavakaro design; beautiful, but extremely deadly. I can imagine a couple of these in a dogfight with some of my Zygbari Makhairas ( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/308200). The battle would be legendary :) |

Quoting ariklego ...The Director!
just gorgeous. absolutely beautiful. I'd gladly volunteer to fly that thing any day. about how sturdy is it? it doesn't look terribly durable. also, how do those wings work? do they move back and forth or something?
Thanks!
It’s actually quite sturdy, but the neck right behind the cockpit is somewhat weak.
In original concept, I was going to have the wings fold into the body, like the F-14 Tomcat, but I scrapped the idea. |
