Hello, All! I just thought I'd take a moment and let you all know that I do indeed still possess my hands.
About this creation
Let me just start by mentioning that there is more on the way. As you might have guessed, I'm working on a RC Unimog model, inspired by the 8110 set. I arrived at the decision to undertake this project after I realized that I'm darn sick and tired of trying to build the biggest bloody vehicles I can imagine, only to realize some 25% of the way in that such ambitions are ridiculous and ultimately canning the whole idea.

So, after completely falling in love with my 8110 (and failing spectacularly in an effort to motorize the beastly thing to my satisfaction), I began building a smaller, slightly more capable Unimog concept optimized for off-roading and plain old fun.

You'll see it in the next week or so. As soon as a final BL order arrives and my graduate studies release me from this current choke-hold, I'll get it posted.

However, in the meantime, as part of the project I did whip up this completely ridiculous IR controller that I'd like to share...

"Why add bump guards and shock absorbers to an IR controller?" you ask?

...Why not?

The shock absorbers will come in handy when you accidentally sit on your controller. As I mentioned befor: Good to see you're back and building.

the bumper guards and shock absorbers are for when you accidentally steer the car into a pond, then chuck the remote straight down into the ground in rage, among other such unpreventable accidents. quite nice. you seem to have mastered the art of "fabulous presentation on next-to-pointless things" quite well.
