WOW! Is it 1 whole year already!?!?! Funny how time can fly by, or just dawdle along… anyway…
About this creation
It’s been a big year for me, learning new techniques, styles, and meeting people. MOCpages has been a fantastic experience for me!
I started off with the thought “Big is good”, putting lots of minifigures in (I collected them, and wasted plenty of good money on them…) and put little details into creations.
This was the first stage. I (somehow) got into chopping and changing pieces Luckily I only made two creations of this horrible idea… check out those horrible pics!
Yes, I luckily got over that horrendous period. Things started getting better. I started gaining skills, worked on my photos, and by watching and learning, I improved greatly. In this period I also entered a lot of contests (something I don’t do much nowadays…) this was the period when I started chatting in my now favourite group: the eXtreme TFOLS
The most recent stage includes better pictures, more details, and some bigger creations, and my first CYOA.
I have been greatly inspired by other MOCers to numerous to number, and have made many new friends, also to numerous to number.
Not rating as it's not really an MOC. :) Some of those MOCs are just fantastic! My MOCaversary passed recently (12/29), but I didn't make a page for it. I would suggest for the second year, to try to improve on your photography. A good background board/setup would definitely help. :) Congradulations on your first year! Your coming MOCs will definitely be much better than last year's. Keep it up! ~LB Jr.
Congrats on your first year, mine is coming up soon. You are definitely one of my favourite TFOLs on this site. An excellent and creative builder who builds in many different themes. I also love how you support your younger brother. Can’t wait to see your future creations :)
Congrats Tim! Your builds really represent "building for the sheer fun of it" to me. You don't get bogged down in complex techniques, or trying to cover up every last stud. It seems to me that most MOCers (me included) spend too much time trying to please the crowds, while you just do your thing and have fun, thus making your builds insanely fun to look at.
Thanks for that!
