Faceless Flame - the BBC#11 entry. Kotayma head and Lesprey vertical-mount technolgy.
About this creation
This was built for BBC#11 - I Ain't Got No Body! This was a contest that forced the lower-skill-level MoCers to think outside the box. The requirements were these: 1) Build a humanoid with joints at the neck, shoulders, elbows, mid-torso, hips, knees, and ankles, and 2) No Toa torsos would be allowed as the torso of the MoC or as part of the torso of the MoC.

This was my response. I used the battery box as the torso, and used a 9V motor to power a huge four-bladed buzzsaw mounted vertically on a Toa torso. (Lesprey technology.) I also used the Kotayma-style head - in which, when the head is opened past the second click, the rocket launcher automatically fires.

This MoC, in my opinion, incorporated many good techniques (both mechanical and stylistic), but it did not come through as a clean-shaven MoC, one that actually looked like a humanoid rather than its real result - somewhat hastily constructed.

However, FF powered the Minion series - each of which so far has incorporated the Kotayma head and the battery box. I haven't completed the series because I can't figure out how to make a black battery box look normal in a white MoC.

Enjoy!
