As an experiment in trying to devise a wacked-out junkyard-style design, I started with a pair of articlated piston-based legs. Then I committed to going off the deep end and doubled up on those legs while adding a core body. The result is this centaur mech with weird legs and weirder arms. Posing this thing makes me rage a little on the inside, but if you work with her she'll do whatever you need her to. I like how the two-tone chromed parts came out, at the very least, but this sort of thing isn't my style.
You see, now you're really getting creative. While I can certainly see some influences from your regular AFs, it is pretty cool to see what you can do when you REALLY think outside the box. And unlike Arik, I am a big fan of Greek Mythology, so this obviously hit home. :3
The concept and detail is splendid, however if I was to criticise I'd say that the horse limbs could do with some work. I'd have preferred to see more variation between the forelimbs and the hind limbs.
I've never really liked Greek mythological creatures (as opposed to those of Norse mythology) but I have to say, this thing is SICK. I LOVE the Centaur look of it. I think your standard arms might go a bit better on it, but otherwise this thing is perfect. oh, and thanks for showing me the existence of those cool HF swords. :P
