Round 2 SWMP Steampunk Jedi Fighter and Launcher
A very, very long time ago in a galaxy far, far away before the force...
About this creation
Steampunk is a subgenre of Science Fiction but when Steam meets the Force things don't really work... Like space travle for one. When being challenged with steampunk by ~Patrick~ for the Star Wars Moccer Paired Contest, I was like "Dang, I've never done this before." So I sat down and thought out want to build. I came up with two "set" that I liked from Episode II The Clone Wars- this one and the Speeder Chase through Coruscant.

As you can clearly see this is based on Obi-wan's Jedi Star Fighter.

Underneath the Fighter is the Orbital Launcher (O.B.). There will be more on it below.

Here is our pilot Master Flyer Benjamen Kogs

These are the pre-launch engines

And the post-launch engines with their awesome smoke. I didn't know that the flame brick could fit inside the binoculars.

Onto the Orbital Launcher. I built this because I need something different from everybody else plus I was thinking "in the age of steam, how would one launch a craft into space?". The answer is the O.B., originally built long before steam and revered as a weapon due to anyone trying to activate it ended up shot off to who knows where. As time and technology advanced, Old Fact Sciencists (Archaeologiest) found the knowledge of the old ones on how to use the O.B.

Now they are used to launch crafts and junk into space.

These Last three pictures are just more detailed photos of of the engines.

Check out my other steampunk idea for the SWMP-R2 that I made.

Very nice! Looks more for water throw. Still, it looks really cool. And the launcher looks great too. I was making an all gray Jedi star-fighter, but it turn into Obi Wan's. Come see it some time

As good as this creation is, its always nice to have fully enclosed screens in space.

Quoting Alexander Pierson Holy cow, that's awesome! I think that the launcher is a nice touch, sort of similar to the hyper-space ring, but obviously steampunk-ified. The iron bars and the engine are also well done. I can't say that I like the tail-fin all that much though. Good work overall.
Yeah the tail-fin was a fail because I didnt have anything that I liked and what I probably should have done was make a drag parachute for re-entry.

That blows the steam out of the other entries! All I can say is.....WOW!..... I'm at a loss of words. The shape is great, the engines are awesome, and the launch gun is a great addition! You get the Steampunk genre very well! - KP
