The Black Pearl is one of my favorite creations. The fourth Pirates movie came out and I had always wanted to make a large sailing ship so I went for it. I like the way the deck and wheel look. It was a challenge because there are almost no straight lines to start designing around.

Your Black Pearl has been blogged on the Classic-Pirates front page
http://www.classic-pirates.com/
(I only suggested, it are the admins that decide what to blog)
Anyway, you should check it out, there's a forum tread dedicated to this moc. You really should consider joining Classic-Pirates (it's actually part of Eurobricks)

Hi, I find your black pearl so extraordinary that I decided to dedicate a blog post about it at classic-pirates.com, ofcourse with proper credits (and link to this page)
Unless you don't want that ofcourse...
That is perfectly fine with me, so long as credit is given. Thank you for your compliments. |

Kicks the pants off LEGO's version! The rigging and sails are excellent, and I like the detail on the prow and the rear parts of the ship. You must've spent a decent amout of time on this monster. Amazing! |

Hoh-boy! Where to start...first let me just say that I think you officially have the best Black Pearl on the site. Now, the rigging and sail craft is absolutely superb. It looks like actual canvas! The shape is phenomenal, the sails perfect, the deck features are exact. And gun ports. That's what sets yours out among all others, the perfection of the gun ports. The curves and features are the most accurate I've ever seen, and the crows nests-I've never seen crows nests and masts bone like this before. Fantastic job, real Infinity/5! |

This is very good, I love the costum hull, I'd love to see some close up pictures from the cabin, it looks great, most people don't care about the actual shape of the windows and just use those arched windows, yours look very accurate, be sure to add it to Kings of the Sea ;) |
