NoVVember 2011 (belated)
Let me take you back, to a wild, crazy time...November last year.
About this creation

For last year's NoVVember, I wanted to go a bit more traditional and less crazy with my designs. So these four builds are somwhat similar to the orginal Vic Viper from Gradius.

This first one was a deliberate attempt at a Buck Rogers style Viper: the Terran Defence League T-16 'Strikehunter'

Next up is a Space Police VV. I tried seggregating the two colours of the theme to see the effect. It's only 80% finished; I had plans for thrusters and a portable prison cube to slide into the back but didn't get time to build it. It was originally intended for some sort of an "Internal Affairs" department of the Space Police...

SP1 'CORRECTOR' Vic Viper Patrol ship:

The following is a paid advertisement from one of our sponsors, the M-Tron Corporation:

Space. It's big. Like, REALLY big. You can't be everywhere at once. And for a state of the art mining corporation like M-Tron, you NEED to be. Enter the GLOBAL HAWK. A fully autonomous surveillance vehicle, capable of extended missions and armed combat. No more skulking around the dark side of moons for Blacktron spies. Shipped flat-packed (some assembly required). Order today!

M-Tron Global Viper armed drone (VV):

De-cloaking VXC(ht) EIDOLON Vic Viper
The idea for this VV came from seeing this beautiful customised Skywarp Transformer on Flickr a while ago. I've tried to replicate the effect, which was a bit tricky given the limitation of the trans clear inventory. It works well when the transition line from clear to solid undulates gently--when the demarcation is too jagged it looks lousy. Anyway, I was fairly happy with the result, although with a little more refinement it would look way better. For example, you could add trans blue or light blue 1x1 plates to the transition zone for a better "fade-in" appearance.

I really prefer to upload a group of mocs in the one page and to have descriptive write up and W.I.P. shots (like this one) but I find it takes me so much longer to do so I might have to return to posting single mocs otherwise I’ll be in the position I’m in now of only having time (and patience) to post something once every few months, which I hate. Oh well, we’ll see.
As always guys, thank you for looking! And happy 2012!

I'll take one order of Strikehunter to go with a side order of Corrector, easy on the salt (gotta' watch the blood pressure)! Have to admit I was a little thrown off by the decloak at first (didn't know what I was looking at) but it makes sense now. Whatta ya want, I'm old and slow. Where's my Geritol dang it!

Glorious vipers! That de-cloaking one is excellent. These deserve the "Large" picture setting though.

That cloaking effect is a bit spesh! Some very shapely Vipers there, especially the T-16 :)

Your de-cloaking effect made me stare at my monitor with my mouth open for quite a while. I don't know which is more brilliant, the idea, or the MOC. I guess both are equally fantastic.

I like the Buck Rogers one the best. When I first saw the Skywarp one, honestly, I didn't care for it that much, but with the explanation, I have to say I think you did a fantastic job on it.

They're all very nice models, and the decloaking effect on the Eilodon is brilliant.

I have to say that the technique used with the Eilodon is one of the coolest things I've seen! Very neat concept. I agree with you about adding some trans blue in the mix to soften it up but you still pulled it off fairly smoothly. These are a really cool bunch of VV's, dude! Nice work!
