Battlebeasts the Second Wave
About this creation
Above: Wood Cobra and Fire Ant

I'd forgotten I'd made more Battle Beasts (small collectable toys from the 1980s) after the first lot, I found these photos the other day and realised I hadn't uploaded them here on mocpages yet. Originally the real thing came in packets of two so hence the double mocs here. These are great fun and very addictive to do, I highly recommend trying some yourself!

Omnipotent Ox and Logical Lark

Brigand Bat and Ossified Owl

Bad Beaver and Horrible Horse.
These two were attempts at larger scale versions. It was easier to sculpt the animal heads but the body and armour was trickier. Also being larger they don't have that cute look that the other ones do (I was trying to keep them as close to the size of the original toy as I could).

Some kind of koala I'm not too happy with:

I had battle beasts when I was a kid... Ahh, 80's nostalgia is like a cup of hot coco in front of a warm fire... so comforting. ~ Chris.

Interesting! I've never heard of these before, but the LEGO builds are fantastic. I really like how much expression these have, especially the owl. Great work!
