A new revolutionary technique for Lego mosaics that I'm calling Micro-mosaics. The photo of Einstein on the shelves is actually a Lego mosaic that measures less than one green baseplate. This will be the first of a series of micro mosaics.

BRILLIANT! When I saw your 'preview' page earlier this day, I would never have guessed you used this technique. It looks o so random from close (maybe ugly ?), but what a shock this is when you see it from the distance. Again: brilliant! |

Wow, what a cool technique for a mosaic! Those are a lot of 1x2 tiles with colour patterns! The stair construction underneath to get the overlapping tiles is a cool idea! Great job! :-)) |

Too cool, Arthur. I used to see mosaics like these with some of the framing galleries I'd distribute prints to - images made up of many smaller images. How cool to see it done in Lego. Now, am I mistaken, or did I see a Yoda with this technique once upon a time? Anyway - brilliant work and beautiful detailing achieved with this approach! |
