As i have the 8297 and it looks somewhat dull, i fell in love with the look of this MOC and went ahead and built it. 2 weeks and a few challenges later and i have combined it with the mods to the drive train and steering from Max's version. I've also added some wipers, moved the rear number plate, relocated the exhausts, added a front plate, moded the front mud-guards, re-designed the bonnet hinges, re-added the side view mirrors so they don't hit the doors and redone the spare wheel mount and boot hinges to fix the spoiler to stop its rotation. Moded the overhead lights for more PF lights too lol. I'm currently re-doing Max's instructions to include my mods and re-add your styling. I will share on rebrickable once i'm done if you don't mind. I managed to reduce the parts count to 1711.

I have followed you instructions in using the 6L joint assemble for the axle but it is too long and won't spin. I replaced with 4l from the original 8297 axle but only one side spins. Any suggestions?
