The prologue for True Cop.
A warm summer evening, New York City, 1985-
About this creation

Two masked men with automatic weapons, one with a bag of money, opened fire on pedestrians.

One man was hit and he collapsed. The remainders fled the scene.

The two criminals ran into the building in front of them.

But a police car was hot on their trail...

Two officers jumped out, both were armed.

"This is where they're hiding! We'll have to act fast before they escape!" the first one said.
"Wait, Eric! We've got a man down over here," said the second.

"Dead."

Suddenly, a spray of bullets ripped through the air. The second officer hit the dirt.

The first officer (now known as Eric) ducked behind the cruiser.

The second officer took cover behind a garbage can.
"What should we do, John?" asked Eric.

The second officer (now known as John) replied, "I'll stand up and try and dash in the building. Cover me, and then follow."

John stood up. And sure enough, shots were fired right at him. Eric responded with a blast of buckshot.

The two continued on inside.

They ran into the building.

It was abandoned. The elevator was out of service, and garbage littered the floor.

Caution tape was wrapped around supports trying to hold up the collapsing ceiling.

In the back, the fugitives took cover behind construction junk and opened up on the pair of policeman.

John returned fire as the two ran for their own cover.

They found some behind an old desk and a chair.

The first suspect said to the other, "Get out of here and take the money. Hotwire a car, and I'll see you in the back."

"Got it!" he replied.

He picked up the cash-

-and ran out the back door.

"Hey," John noticed, "one of them left!"

"I've gotta plan, then," Eric responded, " I jump up and try and blow the daylight out of this guy, while you sneak around the side and clean up what 's left!"
"Eric, are you sure?"

But Eric was already standing up, and he fired a shell.

All of his pellets missed, and the lone supect answered with a triple-burst.

"AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!" The suspect had scored a hit.

"ERIC!!!!"

"NOOOOO!!!!"
He was dead.

John was set loose, like a junkyard dog from its chain.

On of his bullets smacked into the middle of his target, but it was wearing body armour, and all it did was stun it.

John charged forward, and continued to fire.

The fugitive was forced to back up in order to evade the volley of pistol fire.

John made it to the makeshift barrier.

He jumped it, and the to wrestled for control.

John was thrown back into some crates.

His gun out of reach.

The machine gun barrel was up in his face.
"So this is how it ends," he thought.

The criminal pulled the trigger, but to John's surprise, all he heard was a click. Out of ammo.

John threw his captor out of his face.

He grabbed a hammer from the construction supplies and swung it towards his opponent.

He hit a homerun.

John grabbed his pistol, and the villan made a run for it.

John followed as fast as he could.

The two criminals were leaving in a jeep.

John opened fire-

And used up every last shell in his magazine. But he pulled the trigger any way.
He hadn't noticed the other officer that had arrived as backup.
"You can stop now!" he shouted.

"We can't follow them on foot, and our cars are out front and we've got a dead man in the building! We've got several units in pursuit, anyways. But for us, it's over.

But it wasn't over for John. It was far from over. His best friend just had his face blown off by those bank robbers. He wasn't going to leave it like that.
27 years later...
This was the moment John had been waiting for. It was about time Eric's murderer would have to deal with the law...
Please tell me how I did, and leave suggestions!

Nice! Did you try to get NYPD logos yet, that would make this whole thing a lot better!
I'm making a new Police car, and I think I'll add some on to it |

this is very good, but why would the cops just let the robbers go with out a chase?
That's just where the story cuts off. There was a chase given but the robbers managed to escape, temporarily... |

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'll try and work on the blurry pictures. The blurriness doesn't showw up very much on my camera, but
it does on the computer. I've been using macro-mode for the first time in my MOCs, and it requires you to be very still. I'll try and find a better stand for it than the pile of bricks I'm currently using :S |
