Great moc. I would say "know your classics". I read this comic back then a lot. I recognized it even before reading your text.

Quoting Anders T I've heard that this ship was actually the main inspiration to the later Millenium falcon. Sejt at lade det her være dit første LDD design. Lad nu ikke LDD blive en vane :P(siger den største synder af dem alle)
Thanks for your comments, Anders! I dont think LDD will be a habit. It´s simply terrible (compared to real ABS), but it DOES give some new posibilites; like an inifinte supply of bricks! LOL. I installed the software in order to document some of my other MOC´s, but wil have to give up on it on that. :-/

Quoting Claus Schioldann von Eyben Cannot wait to see Linda and Valentine' ship build in LEGO - Well done - I only wish for a true MiniFig size. Imagine it standing next to the Millinium Falcon (the copy)... :-D
Thanks a lot Claus! There actually IS one in minifig-scale on Brickshelf! -And it´s not half bad either. I will not be building this one in ABS. BTW; I think you will never see the two starships side-by-side; Time-jumps do not even exist in the Star Wars universe! ;-)

Quoting John Fink I'm not familiar with the original ship. But still, this is a great looking model.
Okay, so I´ve now included a picture of the original art, and a link to some Wiki trivia...

Oh, btw great moc. You're pretty darn close to nailing that shape. The second shot looks almost exactly like the drawing by Mézières. I'm really impressed that this is your first LDD design. Especially the different bulges on the top and the slightly twisted upright thingys on the side must have been a real challenge to design.

Yes! it's the most classic of classic sci-fi spacetime vessels from the Valérian et Laureline comics. I love this thing. I've heard that this ship was actually the main inspiration to the later Millenium falcon. Sejt at lade det her være dit første LDD design. Lad nu ikke LDD blive en vane :P(siger den største synder af dem alle)
